I'm hoping against hope that the young firecrackers of the Vienna Town Council can see to it that a bank branch can now take that future vacant space. I really wish that I had some place to do my banking in Vienna. I'd like to cash my Social Security check on a Saturday sometimes.

I know! How about a small pharmacy? I often get tired of driving around looking for a convenient place to fill prescriptions, what with the very few drugstores in Vienna.

Do you kind folks know where I might find a People's Drug or Drugfair?

Personally, I need a new gas station. I find that I have to stop and fill up every few blocks with my V8 SUV, and there just aren't enough gas stations around.

whats wrong with being a matress salesman? If its the one on 123 that you are talking about there is literally one matress store across from another so no wonder one of them is bound to go out of business.

Dang drove by the mattress store last night in Vienna and it was already gone and for lease sign is down perhaps a nail salon will take its place

Damn, I thought I saw it was closed. The Mattress District is now history and I was promoting it on another forum. :(

Not sure I agree with this. I've only had limited interaction with mattress salesmen, but I thought, by far, a car salesman usually takes the cake for being scum.

You can find the Peoples Drug store located on Maple Avenue a few doors up from the Giant Food store. The Drug Fair store is located next to the Southern States store in the next shopping center down going west on Maple. But don't hop in your car just yet....the only way to get there is by a time machine set for the year 1966. Sorry....just having some fun.

Mattress sales are up there with automobile sales in regard to shady practices. Notice that you can't comparison shop because the names never match from chain to chain (need to use coil count and other features), and if you EVER pay full price for a mattress you are getting ripped off.

I don't blame the sales staff, they are only making a living. It's the industry that is driving the practices.

Vienna Gal owns the thread. I laughed out loud. Oh, and you forgot to ask about Dart Drug. Really a shame about the dearth of banks though.

That store was a disaster. My wife and I had gone shopping there and the store manager who was in her mid-40s was wearing a short skirt. And each time she would lie down on the bed to show us how firm/hard the mattress was, she would reveal her panties! It was extremely embarrassing for us and we left within 8-10 blatant exhibitions of her panty!

When you are with your wife, every other woman has to be a distant second in terms of beauty! Heck, some would prefer you to be gay when it comes to interacting with other women! :-)

The manager was okay-looking, but there's thrill in looking at a girl's panty only when she's not aware that it's showing. In this case, it was an open invitation to go in and camp in there! Big turn off!

Why would the salesperson lay on the bed to show you how firm it is? Maybe that was her sales tactic.
