I collect the figurines and play with them.
Heard the dude behind the counter with long beard talk and the voice sounded familiar
Is that the brother of dude who had the great comic book store in Burke from days of yesterday?
Seems like decent not great store although I don't collect the comics I rike the figurines

Pheonix had two stores for a while...one in Herndon and the one down at GMU. They closed the Herndon one and moved...elsewhere? Not sure where. I think it's the same chain, just operated by two different sets of folks.

Never been there but I loved Joe's Books and Comics. That was a trippy dude, his wife worked at the store too.

It's a bit of a drive, but Barbarian Comics up in Wheaton is also pretty neat.

Burke Center shopping center where the Chipotle is now, but it was originally in Manassas Park. There used to be a girl that worked there who was pretty cute, plus she liked comics, a nerd hottie!

Actually I think it was next to Chipotle, now that I think about it.

I remember a comic book store in the Franklin Farm SC back in the early-mid 90's. I was really young and don't remember the name. I think they also sold used books. I remember getting X-Men cards from that place and being pumped.

I remember now! I didn't actually go in. It had to have been at least 10 years ago.

Personally, I could never figure out the attraction of comic book stores, or GameStop for that matter. But as long as you support local busineses, good on ya mate!

It's the same appeal as Redskins stores for sports fans - genre-specific hobbyporn. Some folks get a kick out of being surrounded by stuff they dig.
