I think it's pretty damn good. definitely looks like a shithole from the outside, but i would recommend it if you like kabob. They're gyros aren't bad either

i didn't notice a spit in that place which makes me wonder how the meat is cooked. the lamb/beef slices should have some crispy edges on it in addition to being moist and juicy. you cant do this in an oven or on a burner.
it doesn't look like they've put a dime back into that place in 30 years which would be fine if they did anything other than reheat frozen bar food. the menu is too big resulting in a lot of mediocre everything and nothing fresh. ive never had the gyro but if they are on par with anything else that place serves, it cant be that great.
gyros are like pizza or falafels or pho. its a specialty food, best prepared by people who take pride in their business and focus on a few quality items instead of trying to serve everything under the sun (a hallmark of suburban dining that is slowly dying out).
it should be mentioned that maleks stays open pretty late by NOVA standards. big ups for that.
