The owners are so racist towards Americans at the Lansdowne Blimpies.
We visited that Blimpies with a coupon out of one of the local papers and handed it over.
The nasty owner snapped we do not accept coupons. Perfectly in her right. Her next statement floored us. "You Americans are all the same!" Really?
It is funny she doesn't mind us spending our american money in her crap hole. Never again. Never again. Please boycott the nasty Racist Blimpies in Lansdowne off Telegraph Road. Not one American should ever visit that store again.

Something similar happened to my son and his friends at that same Blimpies.
When I wnet into the Blimpies and spoke with the owner she said kids in this country lie. She said if kids in the country she is from lied they would be severely punished? HUH? What the hell is her problem.
I have asked my son to never visit that store again and to tell his friends from Hayfield High School to never visit that store either.

I am very offended by these lansdown blimpies owners.
They are very rude. My american son and I were in there last spring and a soda was dropped. You would have thought my son had tried to throw a rock through the glass counter. The Blimpies owner started screaming to never come back again. I guess all Americans are alike but sometimes accidents happen. My vote would be to just find a different place to eat.
That store is located at Beulah and Telegraph in Alexandria. There are some nice alternatives to eating located right in the same shopping center.

The Blimpies in Fairfax (across from the K-Mart) lasted about a year. Now, it's a Luigi's Pizza place.
The last time, and only time I had Blimpies was in Texas. All I can remember was the big-ass loaf of bread they used - along with very little meat and toppings. I was obviously just eating a whole bunch of bread and not a real sandwich.

It would be interesting to find out what percentage of franchises are minority owned. I'm sure many of you would be quite surprised. Fortunately, the franchise owners are not in their shops 100% of the day. Instead, they have high schoolers working for them - and, you'll tend to get better service.

^^ Really? I don't mind Koreans, I lived in Korea for a few years and enjoyed it very much. I don't see why the Blimpie's owner would be that rude to their customers, most Koreans are nothing like that. Contact the corporate office and file a complaint, more than likely if enough complaints are made about that store they will have their franchise license revoked. That license costs 30-50k a year and they will lose more than that in income.

If you are willing to leave Fairfax County, you can find a great one on Sudley Road in Manassas. Fastest Subway I've ever seen. I'm always in and out of there in about 2 minutes.

There is a Blimpies in Sterling that has a cute Mexican and an old white woman working the counter and register. If you can deal with the white woman being a Cowboys fan and the Mexican girl not speaking English (but she smiles at you in an attempt to communicate) then I think you'll have a positive experience.

Why would someone drive 15 miles - much less 3 miles to go to a particular Subway? They're in nearly every shopping center as it is. I've found that most of those that I've purchased from - more or less all make their sandwiches the same.
Now, If you are partial to driving for good sandwiches, the Italian Store in Arlington (Rt. 29) is very much worth it. If you're in Western Fairfax county, then the Little Italy deli in Centreville is quite good. I'm sure there are many more I'm missing - but those that I've listed are miles ahead in food quality compared to what Subway offers.

I'll have to admit to experiencing more than a few surprisingly nasty encounters with Koreans at their stores. A friend of mine says it comes from their society where they are compelled to "spontaneous regimentation." They come here and get mad because Americans don't bend to their ways.

never a fucking gain i got food poisoning after eating some salad there. threw up all night they were small black worms at first I saw them litterly swimming around in the toilet after i vomited violently. I may have looked at her (owner) the wrong way or something when i ordered.

I like that Blimpies, despite their "no coupon" rule and rationing of ketchup, malt vinegar, and old bay. But then again they only started the condiment rationing after the scumsuckers from the local high school would squirt out a whole container of ketchup, eat a half teaspoon of it with the fries, and end up throwing it all away.
Nasty? I have had the opposite experience with the husband and the daughter. They are some of the friendliest people ever. I always found the wife friendly enough - I've never seen her be rude. When it's busy in there, she wears a permanent scowl though.

I honestly thought Blimpies closed in the 90s, I have never met anyone who has mentioned eating at a Blimpies since the 80s. My six year old palette found Blimpies disgusting so I never ate there again.
