Does anybody have any information on the traffic on 495? I've heard that some truck crashed or turned over (something of the sort) on the median and that traffic is up the #$$.

The truck full of gunpowder flipped over in the Springfield Mixing Bowl... I'll never forget that one. Rode the VRE that day, then the day after that CSX shut down all the railroads from DC all the way to Florida. Wound up stuck in the District with no way home.

You could die of a burst bladder or starvation while in a Beltway traffic jam in NOVA, if you wait for Lisa Baden to broadcast it....it was screwed up this morning too with an accident at Tysons....nothing on the traffic reports....

I have to give WTOP credit this morning. Lisa Baden addressed the 66/495 problem many times this morning. Of course I was fucked because I was sitting in it, but had to get to Montgomery Co. so I had no choice. Took me 2 hours to get from 29 Centreville to 495. That was some bullshit.

Somebody ought to make those Aussie bastards pay for all the carnage and vehicle damage they've caused with their little Hot Lane project. I've bent two rims so far hitting bomb craters and ridges on "pavement" that they've fucked up.

I was right behind this accident, so I only got held up in traffic for about three minutes on my way to Tysons. I got this pic with my phone as I was sitting there waiting for debris to be removed from the road.
Notice it says "Master Your Machine" on the side of the trailer. Sort of ironic, huh?

I will bet anyone here that I spend more time on 495 than anyone you know.
Bradock towards Tysons is screwed in the morning as we all know. What is interesting is many many times over the last few months there has been a major accident somewhere on the outer loop between LRT and Rt 95. Usually this happens between 100 pm and 300pm.
