The best escargot I've ever had was at the Army Navy Country Club.
However, you can grow your own.

I get good escargot from Cafe Montmarte at Lake Anne (Reston), mop it up with their warm bread tis delicious.

I used to eat snails A LOT back when they were "in" in the 80s.

Cooked in butter and garlic..they were delicious. I never ate them raw BTW

But, the last time I ever ordered them they came and they were so gross and big

I gagged. I've never had them since. The looked like slugs.
