Seems like a heckuva lot of road rage in Fairfax County going on these days. What's the problem?

I see you practice the socratic method. Yes, what is the deal? Best of luck with the shopping car. I think you mean cart. The bad wheel is so the illegal aliens don't push it a mile away I suppose.

Do you personally practice road rage?

You must live in a cave OP. Look at all the damm construction around here and maybe that might be reason for all the road rage. All of the major roads (495, rt7, 123, 395, etc) are parking lots 24/7 these days.

Actually, no. A lot of people around here are just inconsiderate assholes.

Well, did not know about all the dam(m) construction. That's good news. I get to check out all the beavers. :)

Incorrect title on this thread. Should be "The Road Rage".
I mean, what's up with that, anyway?

I consider myself an excellent driver. I pay much attention to what's going on and I especially watch opposing traffic signals and anticipate my traffic signal changing. My foot is off the break seconds before the light turns green and some dick wads still feel the need to honk, even though I'm flooring my 8 cylinder SUV from the stop bar within the millisecond that it changes. It takes every ounce of my self restraint and disipline to continue forward at a higher than average speed, when I feel that I really should just slam on the breaks and drag some prepubesent prick out of his car and show him what 15 years in special operations taught me.

Not all people have self control like me; just remember that when your on NOVA roads, or any road on this planet for that matter.

Yeah, I've heard that the road rage is a real bitch in Afghanistan too.

Here's road rage's equivalency in India (Cue music from Jurassic Park T-Rex Jeep chase):

That motorcylist cut off the flying elephant and Apu is about to slide down that elephant's trunk and give him a taste of Kalaripayattu.

In DC, driving home from work, in my lane, minding my own business, obeying all traffic laws. Low and behold a taxi cuts into my lane and litterly missed hitting me by inches and would have had I not braked hard. I wanted to beat the crap out of the guy, and vented my frustration without using my middle finger. Man, was I pissed. If I was 20 years younger I might have followed him and had an adult discussion regarding his driving. Seriously, I'm a pretty good and careful driver, usually let other cars in, in front of me if they signal, don't drive aggressively, etc.

I want to mount machine guns on my car to shoot all ya'll who can figure out the turn signal, or merging lane, or stopping in the intersection and getting stuck at a red light, or talking on a cell phone at 20 MPH, or just thinking about getting into a car. Die BIATCHES!!!

I had an old guy honk his horn at me once because i didn't pull out in traffic and get hit. My solution was to sit in the car through 2 green lights. He finally decided to get out of his car and kick my ass. I then pulled off left him stand in the road looking like a asshole. I laughed all the way home.
