The Real Housewives of DC?

First of all what's up with picking on Mclean, VA? Are we being played by TV producers who picked 5 housewives and decided here's the way the story should go?

On an even funnier note, didn't Meade Skelton say he played music at the America's Polo cup?

I didn't watch it, but the reviews all say the show is too focused on that Salahi broad (who was totally pwned on The View by Whoopi Goldberg.)

Blessed are the murderous.

I watched five minutes of the DC housewives and I thought my head was going to explode. Awful, awful show.

The good thing about attention whores like this is that their lives invariably unravel under the glare of the spotlight.

The previews seem to indicate that the show will focus on the Salahi's life crumbling after they can't pay bills.

Good. These people are frauds. The more they are exposed, the more potential victims will know to stay away from them.

I've met the Salahi husband. He tried to get in one the players gate at a charity polo match in the Plains. I was told only players on my list and he wasn't on my list.

He got all pissed off and drove over to the pay area. Oasis winery was one of the sponsors of the event and he was in an Oasis winery labeled SUV. But, my orders were very clear, only players or names on the list.

I walked over to the lady running the event and explained the situation. She said "He try's this all the time, he needs to pay."

I did have some funny people try to sneak in. Luckily I had years of experience myself sneaking into concerts and most of the reasons to get in the back gate made me laugh.

I was pretty strict. I told the polo club photograph she couldn't get in the players gate. She pulled out a program and showed me her name. The lady running event finally laughed and said, "Yup that's the club photographer you can let her in."

The lady running the event said, "I told all the polo players if you don't have passes you're not getting the gate and half of them didn't care so let them get hassled. They'll learn to listen next time."

I have run into people like the Salahis over the years. Their M.O. is to live large but not to pay for anything.

The first step is to act like they are operating in good faith and will pay the bill. The second phase is to make up stories about extraordinary circumstances that are keeping them from paying. The third phase is to act like you are the one who is out of line for asking for payment (either because of your tone or because what you provided wasn't up to the standards they expected). The fourth is to pretend that they intended to pay you all along, but because you are out of line they don't know if they can deal with you in good faith.

This will go on and on with the expectation that you will drop your claim for payment once you realize it is too costly for you to hire a lawyer and recover what you are owed. The only way you will get a dime out of them is to sue and often you will only see a fraction of what you are owed in the end, if anything at all.

The bad thing about these Salahis is they are pulling all this shit when they are middle aged. They are going to wake up one morning with everything they owned repossessed, alienated friends and family, and no income to speak of.

One of these days they will have to get a real, paying job. "Charity organizer" and "socialite" aren't exactly going to last them much longer.

I see the two of them are driving an 80k Land Rover, I wonder how many payments they are behind on it?

Blessed are the murderous.

There are A LOT of people in this area that want to look like they have money.

Most of the "big flashy money" people go broke trying to impress people with fancy cars, parties or a huge house. Either that or they have loans out the ass.

Haven't watched it, either, but I'm not surprised that it was more focused on Mrs. Salami.

I think the Salahi woman would be useful if you were a thief and used her skinny arms to pick locks or maybe at work to slide her arm up the coke machine and pluck out sodas without paying.

I think she'd be useful for something else. The best thing would be breaking your promise to pay her afterwards. Who knew irony could be so much fun.

I know someone who has met her before. They said she looks anorexic in person.

She'll probably get cosmetic surgery as she gets past 50, and in typical Salahi fashion, get sued by the doctor for unpaid bills.

Blessed are the murderous.

Wouldn't the Salahi fashion be to sue the doctor?
