There's nothing to indicate that Colt Brennan is going to be the future of any NFL franchise. The guy had great numbers in a doormat NCAA conference. He got his bell rung in the Sugar Bowl. He has a history of personal problems off the field. He is injury prone. He has an unorthodox side-arm throw. He's never played in a real NFL game against real NFL players. He may have a career as a journeyman, but he is no future Hall of Famer.

The Redskins, perhaps not happy with the competition at quarterback, made a deal with the Ravens Monday in order to add John Beck to the roster.
The Redskins sent 2009 practice squad cornerback Doug Dutch to Baltimore.
The move came after Shanahan said he was probably only going to keep two QBs on the active roster, according to NBC4's Dan Hellie. So does this mean Shanny only was going to keep two because he wasn't sold on Bartel or Brennan? Maybe Beck will fit into Kyle Shanahan's offense better and the team will decide to hang on to a third QB.
Beck was the backup to Joe Flacco last season in Charm City, but hasn't played in a game since 2007 -- his rookie year with the Miami Dolphins. Beck, who was coached by former Skins head man Jim Zorn in Baltimore during camp, was a second-round pick by the Dolphins out of BYU.

Seriously, good riddance, don't have to listen to stupid asses complaining he deserves a shot after throwing two touchdowns against a practice squad defense. Most overrated player to never take a snap in the NFL.

This guy was 3rd string and couldn't beat out a journeyman in Todd whathisname for 2nd string. Good for CB if he can make a living as a 3rd string or 2nd string QB in the league.

WTL - I agree that their show is complete shit and together Chad and Lavar do suck ass at sports radio, but I would have to say that if Chad was in charge of that show and Lavar was off doing whatever the fuck he was doing prior to ruining the afternoon drive it might be worth listening to. Of course I'm a Big O & Dukes supporter, so I'm biased

Did anyone else see Mike Golic run the Haynesworth conditioning test? Yes, Mike Golic, who is 47 yo, out of shape and 16 years retired from football, did the test with no problem.

I have to wonder if Haynesworth isn't intentionally flopping on the test so that he doesn't have to play. I think Haynesworth is doing everything he can to remain in control of the situation. By the end of this, Shanny and Allen may have no choice but to cut his fat ass. I thought Haynesworth might grow up when the season started, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder about stuff too. If he really can't pass this conditioning test, he has big problems.
If he's faking and just doesn't want to play, that's almost as bad (in the eyes of all other teams).

I was interested to find out how that went. I listen to Mike & Mike on my way to work but don't have access to a TV or anything at work, so didn't know the outcome. If Golic could do the test with no problem then Haynesworth should be able to, first of all even in shape, Golic was never the athlete that Haynesworth is supposed to be.
Amazing that this has come to such a point. I have no sympathy for Haynesworth, how much did he make last year for playing maybe 1/4 of the defensive downs. Oh, I know, it's Zorn's fault.
