I tried suing Cary a year ago to have a post removed, but couldn’t get a lawyer to take the case.

I know a couple lawyers in Fairfax who would do it. They are morally and financially bankrupt and will do almost anything for money.

Maybe you are just a troll, but in case someone is serious:

1. There are NO moderators on Fairfax Underground.

The owner (Carey) sometimes deletes posts for legal reasons. I think this has happened about 10 times in all the years the forum has existed. He is a ghost and I doubt he even reads the site at all.

If someone tells you they are Carey, they are not Carey.

If someone tells you they are a moderator or anything like that, they are trolling you. There is no such thing as a moderator here.

2. If you post as an un-registered user, you can't edit or delete your posts and nobody can help you.

3. Someone said you can delete messages if you posted as a logged-in registered user.

I am not sure about that.

But you can edit your post, and change it to just a blank post. It will look stupid and still show you as the poster, but you can certainly do that.

3. Everything you post here is archived forever and ever and ever on cannot be hidden or removed or forgotten. Even 1,000 years from now when Fairfax Underground has been gone for centuries, your posts and everything will still be online.

Everything on the Internet gets permanently archived forever and ever. That's how the Internet works.

So the real answer is: No, you can never delete anything. You might be able to make something not show up easily on this site. But it's already archived elsewhere on the Internet in a place where it is impossible (by design) to delete it.

The Internet Is Forever.

I wish things stayed online forever cause then I'd still have those photos that I stupidly deleted. Like that'd be funny to cringe at but nooooo I was embarassed and deleted them and now nothing I can do to find them. Not everything gets archieved cause not everything is worth fucking caring about it. Even if it is it's impossible to find.

No I'm NOT a troll I posed on this site once and thought I could remove it if there were no responses didn't know it was going to be forever like on reddit you can delete. Thanks for taking the time to let me know I can't. so all these people "icanhelp" and "ben" saying they can remove are just lying jerks and they can't remove the post? thanks

Like This Just In Fairfax said, you can only edit it if you have an account. If you have made an account then you go to the post and click edit. It doesn't seem like you made an account.

If you're logged into an account this is what it looked like on the bottom with an edit button. You click that and then you can edit it.
