Ya that was a bit if them reverting back to the shitty product the show had become. But even with those unlistenable 20 minutes, the show overall was still 100X better than before.

I like that Drab is starting to keep Chad in check to an extent. Chad started talking about how he doesn't want Dan Ackerman on the show because he was a dick and they had a falling out (the same thing he says about every fucking former gues). Drab interrupted him and said that never happened and that Chad confuses every former guest with Mike Bracken and that Chad has issues. Chad laughed, but immediately stopped talking about his "falling out" with Ackerman. Hopefully Drab keeps calling Dukes out on his bullshit because Chad needs that and so does the show.

Based on some decent feedback here, I downloaded last week's shows to take on a trip this week. Not bad. Much closer to the old show than it was a while back. Peanut gallery kept to a minimum. Oscar back to driving the show and Chad and Oscar playing off each other rather then Chad playing off Big Rig Greg or whatever camo clad loser he decided to feature that week. Drabber was back in the mix too.

Got to agree with peekza, it almost seems like they are reinvigorated for some reason and are trying to do a good Big O and Dukes Show again rather than the piece of shit featuring Chad and his friends that we got for a long time.

I agree. Whenever the peanut gallery is kept at bay and chad and five head play off of each other the show is marginally better. Is it as good as it was on the radio? Not even close.

Have to agree about the peanut gallery. The majority of the listeners don't know these people, don't care about them, and don't get the inside jokes.

The show has been better without the focus on the peanut gallery.

Occasionally I'll check this thread to see if I'm missing anything. If there is actual discussion on the show instead of the peekza troll show I generally am glad that I have moved on.
When I saw that they were doing two shows I thought "Good God, they can't even make one hour entertaining, what are they going to do with two?" Would they double their time on bringing "Big Z" up to the mic to discuss his ultra-boring fantasy sports teams? Would they have two food bracket competitions going on at the same time--one for each day?
However, I appear to be wrong. They seem to have actually started to steer the Titanic away from the iceberg. I still don't know if I'll come back to the show though. Right now I have been enjoying Bill Burr and genuinely laughing more per-episode than I had in all episodes of BOAD for 2013.

I like the two-show-a week concept as well. I feel like this has gotten them back on the path toward a good product.

A listener wrote in that he wanted to see Top Five come back, which is always entertaining, and the boys seemed game for it.

Does anyone know when Chad's contract is up with CBS? He's been talking a lot more about how many times he's almost been fired or almost quit the sports show recently. Even brought up that he's had discussions in the past with other stations trying to find work. I'm just curious if they're making a concerted effort to have the show better to try to sell it to a station again when Chad's contract is up. Chad mentioned last week that he had to send a couple shows over to someone that wanted to hear more of it. He didn't elaborate, but it sure sounds like they're shopping it around again.

After several strong showings, this was a return to (poor) form. The free show was Redneck Dukes ranting for an hour straight. (Keep your finger on the fast forward button) Topics of ranting, from what I could tell: Black people are stupid for not wanting to be called thugs. Even though Dukes wants to be a faux redneck, don't say he looks like the guys from Duck Dynasty, because that's racist. The grammys are stupid. Popular country music is stupid. I think the country music argument was identical to what he spewed after the CMA awards awhile back. For someone who puts a lot of value on listening to music that isn't mainstream, he really wants it to be acknowledged by the mainstream. Of course, if something gets too popular, he wouldn't be into it any more.

This was the most entertaining moment of the show, since it was spoken by someone who puts every beer he drinks and song he listens on Twitter and spends time trolling his followers' feeds for #HAGL-worthy material so he can then post THAT post on his page.

Gay marriage (and breast cancer) gets "too much play" and more attention should be paid to 2nd ammendment rights. Something about having 30 guys field stripping AR-15s on stage at the Grammys instead of a bunch of people getting married. (Sounds like a scene right out of his dream diary.) Liberals control the media and entertainment industries. Oscar and Drab tried to make counterpoints or play devil's advocate from time to time, but Dukes shouted everyone down and had to be right.

Then a caller talked about wrestling and Chad ranted about that for 15 minutes. I checked out. The "Angry Dukes Spews" shows are almost as unlistenable as the peanut gallery shows. Which is unfortunate because Reloaded was all about someone from Rally the Horde talking about Oscar too much on that show. Lots of Chad talking about figurative licking of various genitals. They should just break out the "Talking about the show that talks about the show" segment into it's own show. After that, Dukes goes into a REALLY long build up (after teasing a "big reveal" on social media) for what amounted to a 30 second story about putting his foot through the ceiling of a house while in the attic when he was a kid. He just remembered it or something.

The "Thug" episode was a big step back. Chad had the Mike O'Meara quality: the ability to annoy you with an argument even when you technically agree with his points.

Thanks for the recap...It was an accurate account of an hour wasted...Chad, fresh off of a HAGLing, says Taylor swift makes it all about herself...And how exactly can a man who paid $230 dollars for a handkerchief complain about anybody wearing $1,000 jeans? I guess it was too much to ask to do 3 good shows in a row...

I think it will depend largely on how connected to reality they are or are not at this point in time. My prediction is that Chad has let "celebrity" go to his head, and that there will be a permanent regression.

Chad's ego is what will sink the H.M.S. BOAD. Either he'll keep it in check, and let Beer and Pig and Dukes Wrestling be the outlets for his narcissism, or it will bleed into the show, like Tuesday, and make everything suck. Whether it's a Crazy Dukes Rant (tm) or a show focusing on the peanut gallery, who are all Chad sycophants, it's a sub-par show. I agree completely that he is out of touch with how the majority of listeners perceive his contribution to the show, and Oscar and Drab don't seem willing to rein him in. I'm on the fence about renewing my Reloaded subscription. I really like the fact that they are doing shows two nights a week, and understand how much of a commitment that is from all of the "Big Three". Serious question for you FHC...How much longer you think Drab is going to continue on the BOaD show? He has to be up at 3 am M-F and he and Bode wrangled a weekend gig for their CFB show(how I have no idea, I listened the first year and it was just Bode talking about Florida for an hour)...How much longed is he going to schlep out to ManASSas twice a week for a third of a pittance?

Don't bother to listen to Tuesday's show. More Chad ranting. They talk about the superbowl coke commercial and that leads to Chad ranting about illegal immigration for the whole show. Stupid people like Chad should stick to wresting, videos games and cool ranch doritos.

I agree with Chad's political views about 95% of the time, but the way he talks about and explains these issues makes him sound like a complete idiot.

I normally buy reloaded, but the last few shows turned me off and I wasn't in the mood to hear more Chad.

I started listening to Chad Dukes Vs. the World after reading about it here and hearing them mention it on BOAD. I've gotta say, it's pretty entertaining. It's very topic-driven, with Chad typically introducing a topic and doing a monologue on it in the first segment, soliciting for calls and tweets, going to break, then coming back and discussing said topic with callers/tweeters for a second segment. Repeat with a different topic in segments three and four, and that's the show. Very formatted, fast-paced, and a much higher-energy, "on" Chad than you get on BOAD. It's more like the Chad you got on the old RodKast, but even more concentrated since CDVTW doesn't have the supporting cast of Dukes henchmen that the RodKast did. Plus, since it's formatted to fit radio, the segments are short and clearly labelled by topic, so you can pick and choose.

Anyway, I recommend checking it out if that sounds like what you're looking for in a Dukes side project. Sorry that this post was so positive, I know that's not typically how things are done around here.

Completely agree with Chad's new show. It's unbelievable how different that Chad is to the new BOADs Chad. He's always said that in a social environment, he craves the approval of those around. Maybe that's why on the show when he's surrounded with stunted man children, all he does is tired racist humour and quasi right-wing sounding radio rants. The new show is that Chad that everyone here liked back in the day. It's been fun to hear that Chad again. I have a feeling we'll never hear that on BOADs as long as all the hanger ons are around.

Bingo. I haven't listened in a month or two. I couldn't stand another second of "Redneck Dukes".

And if you're wondering, I came to this thread to see if anything has changed for the better (I was a fan at one point afterall), but apparently it hasn't.

I haven't listened since they started the appetizer brackets. Right now I am glad to hear that it has improved, but I am not quite ready to come back to the show. I want to see if they stay at a higher quality or they sink back into interviewing Dukes' favorite bands and circle jerking about "real music with real instruments" and other such mediocre content.

Are they done with doing Thursday shows?

I don't think they are done, but I feel like they said something about not doing one this week. Aren't Drab and Chad down in florida for Nats spring training?

i went back to double check and at the start of the episode it seemed like there would be a thursday show, but at the end of the free show they were talking about trying to schedule some guest for thursday but chad wouldnt be there, chad said oh yeah it'll just be you guys and drab/oscar said no dice.
