Why do most students have difficulty learning geometry?

Why do most students have difficulty learning geometry? Why is the brain so reluctant to understand simple equations?

Well, it's hard. I mean, we're talking about a subject that was the pinnacle of math for thousands of years.

The other side of it is that it's the first (and maybe only) time 2d / 3d thinking is really exercised. If someone isn't good at it -- and a lot of otherwise smart people have difficulty thinking that way -- then there are problems.

Unlike most of the basic Math subjects, Geometry isn't really about equations.
It is an introduction to "proofs". Problems are solved by taking premises and deducing conclusions. It is a different skill set than algebra. The higher math courses rely heavily on such proofs.

It is because the teachers at FCPS are fat assholes.

They cannot teach a cat to shit in its litter box.

It’s mostly the niggers and the spics that fail. The Whites and Asians seem to do just fine.

That used to be true, but my understanding is Geometry courses these days are somewhere between extremely light on proofs to not requiring them at all. All that ed school blather about encouraging "critical thinking" and they got rid of the only class that required formal logic & reasoning.

They replaced that in the curriculum with Critical Reasoning Theory (I think that's what CRT stands for). Predictably, Republitards and other Trumptards are against it.

Nobody uses Geometry anyway. Might as well just push that off to maths majors in college freshman year.

But we need CRT every single day!

Geometry is an important school subject. But, according to statistics, it is this discipline that causes difficulties for almost half of the schoolchildren, because it requires deep knowledge, the ability to combine logical and spatial thinking. As our tutor says https://tutors.gioschool.com/tutors/subjects-geometry, the reason for the difficulties in studying geometry is the lack of proper attention to the solution process described in school textbooks. I notice that in the course of training, the emphasis is primarily on working out and mastering the basic principles of geometry, taking into account the subtleties of my child's perception.
