JOE the founders allowed the people to privately own any arms they wished in their day , they even allowed the people to privately own cannon the most powerful weapons of war in their day only designed to be used on a battlefield !
Guess what JOE ! The federal government has never regulated black powder smooth bore cannon to this day ! There are federal laws on the theft of federal cannon on US National Park and US property with 30 years statute of limitations on the crime of stealing them

But no black powder smooth bore cannon possession regulations !

Contrary to what you say the Founders did not allow anyone to own any weapon they chose. The Founders regulations were focused on who owned the weapons and where they were being carried or stored, rather than being specifically focused on the type of weapon. They were willing to allow an honest merchant to own cannon, but not someone they suspected would turn pirate and certainly not those they thought might pose a threat to the state.

But not law abiding people from firearms ownership , unless they were slaves or criminals . Their major bad was the allowing slave ownership , not the gun bans of criminals or the town drunks

Today JOE wants to ban guns from the law abiding people while pampering the criminals , he is the same as a old town drunk at this point with his aged reasoning and diminished thought train

No wonder Democrat's want dual control of the nuke codes huh the real most powerful weapons of war

The framers of the constitution were smart men. They knew enough to know the world would be WAY different than the world they were living in.

So, the second amendment was written so that it would require dialogue over the ages, as to just what ownership rights they were talking about.

Im a member of the unorganized militia of the USA created by the militia act by congress. The founders considered the militia to be the body of the people in their day

The terms well regulated militia can not be achieved with gun bans or regulations that tax firearms require insurance or any other Democrat schemes to suppress the people rights to arms

In order to be well regulated the people must be able to shoot their arms in training to be proficient at arms, which the Democrats suppress by banning guns ,or the magazines the guns are designed to be used with and passing unconstitutional and by limiting the funds and activities of the federal DOD Dept of Civil Marksmanship and by Democrats like Dan Helmer of Springfield's unconstitutional hateful attempt to shut down the NRA Range in Fairfax with a gun hate bill that targeted that lawful range . All in all there's nothing but hateful suppression of the 2nd by Democrats who want to pick and choose your rights , a very dangerous affront to the peoples liberty as which right will they hate tomorrow if they can get away with it

Right now JOE unconstitutionally bans "ghost guns " by a executive order he has no constitutional authority to write , instead of asking congress to pass a bill requiring these guns to have serial numbers .

JOE further lies and tells distorted stories , a totally un American act of a person who is the US President! And he does this to take constitutional rights from the people ! That is a absolute reason to impeach and remove him from office, as a failure to protect the US Constitution but Democrats are so hateful toward the right to keep and bear arms they would refuse even though it means they would get their real pick to take JOES place.

JOE cites "ghost guns used in crimes" without any facts , despite the fact that legally manufactured guns with serial numbers are used in crimes with the serial numbers removed by criminals and JOE is calling these too ghost guns !

The final four words of the 2nd amendment could not be more clear in any day or age , the founders wrote them with the strongest language in the entire US constitution to not attempt to suppress the right to keep and bear arms
