Has anyone else had problems with Burke & Herbert's lending and accounting practices?

I took a simple mortgage loan from them but they cannot seem to take in a payment without misapplying it so that I always seem to owe more money than I really do. Originally I thought it was just incompetence but it's been happening often enough and for long enough that I'm now wondering whether its an integrity, rather that a competency, issue and am curious to see if others have had similar experiences.

They had a series of "diversity hires" that seemed to take things down a few notches. Not sure they have been able to recover.

I had trouble with B&H and I had trouble with Wells Fargo. Now I do the majority of my banking including my mortgage with Apple credit union. Apple has been very good to me. I also have a savings account with American express bank and they are good too.

We use B&H for our business accounts. I have never had any trouble with them. I do most of my banking in person at the branch 5 blocks from our office rather than relying on online or mail in services. Only person of questionable competence that I ever came across was a gay white man in another branch. Before B&H we used BB&T. That was a disaster.

I like B&H.
Also PNC.


I had BOA for years and they always sucked.
Chevy Chase wasn't great, and then they got bought.
