How easily can I obtain a cushy six figure federal job

I would like to obtain a job in the Federal government making about 150k. I currently make about 110k doing cyber security work. I do contract work for the government so I know the work. It just seems like they contract most of the work.

I’m in that same boat as you . Web developer (entry level) making 50k. It’s all about knowing people. Sometimes people in government will give inside track to jobs for contractors.

You can't. You would need to come from money first to get one. Like with Trump.

Apply for any job that you think you qualify for...the goal is to get hired.you can always move up for promotion once in.
Ask neighbors and friends if they know anyone in the sgencies you applied to.
I found who you know does not help to get in..but it may be different for you

most folks take a cut when joining government and 150k is up in the highest grade or ses level.

i.e. unless you appeal to some leftover clintonite sodomite, not much chance
