Echo Company (Military-themed) Family Day
Posted by: FFX Events ()
Date: December 17, 2019 10:41AM

Echo Company Family Day activities will take place on 17 December 2019 from 9am to 2pm at Camp Barrett aboard MCB Quantico. We encourage visitors to observe the Morning Colors which begins promptly at 8am on the grass field in front of Heywood Hall. Official Family Day activities begin with an Echo Company Brief inside Heywood Hall given by the Company Commander, Maj Forrer. The brief provides visitors an overview of the Basic Officer Program of Instruction, training highlights specific to the graduating company, and details Family Day activities.

Following the Echo Company Brief, students are secured and are free to leave base. However, we encourage visitors to tour Camp Barrett and participate in a variety of activities provided on site. Highlights include:
- Attempt the Marine Corps Obstacle Course
- Participate in the Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer (ISMT)
- Static military equipment display with hands-on opportunities

Please ensure you wear appropriate civilian attire, to include tennis shoes and pants, if you intend to participate in the Marine Corps Obstacle Course. All participants will be required to sign a Hold Harmless Agreement.

All Family Day visitors are required to park on the Camp Barrett Parade Deck (follow the link below for directions). Ensure you follow all posted signs and the direction of our uniformed traffic management personnel. Parking is not allowed on shoulders, in grassy areas, or in any numbered spot within the parking lot.

A limited number of disabled parking is available on a first-come, first served basis in the Heywood Hall parking (follow the link below for directions). Must present valid Disabled Person Parking Placard or Plates to enter lot.
