inhaling N₂O is a really bad idea. the concept behind inhalants like this is that it deprives your brain of oxygen for a period of time because the oxygen isnt separated from the nitrogen in N₂O. this causes brain damage (way worse than drinking) and can cause serious brain damage or death if the oxygen deprivation is prolonged. i think drugs are stupid but inhalants are the dumbest of all substance abuses because of the extreme danger of severe brain damage involved. if you are going to abuse a substance anyway, drink alcohol or smoke marijuana because this is the worst idea you could have come up with.

the fact that im suggesting using drug alternatives to this show just how much this can fuck you up. it's best if you dont abuse a substance but this is one thing you shouldnt do at all costs.

This post is not condoning or recommending drug use of any kind, merely providing the information needed to do it safely if you choose to.


Nitros only gets a bad rap because of people who don't do their research, when done properly there is essentially NO DAMAGE! The feeling comes from a mild dissociative effect, not only oxygen deprivation, and the molecule itself is biologically innert not reacting to form new products with anything.

That said, there are obviously ways that you can hurt yourself just like anything else. Follow these VERY simple rules and you will be fine.

1. ALWAYS crack the charger into some vessel which you then breathe out of (ie NEVER straight into your mouth). This is because forcing too mush gas into your lungs all at once CAN cause major, permanent damage or DEATH.

2. Be careful when touching just cracked chargers, the rapid decompression can cool them enough to cause minor frostbite for a couple of seconds. This adds another level of danger when using a hand cracker which can be cooled enough to become brittle and shatter when used rapidly over a long time.

3. DO NOT hold your breath more than 20-30 sec. you can get the full effect well before passing out or any damage worse than bumping your head lightly. You will probably want to lie back & relax so a comfortable seat is a good idea anyway but again if you pass out or change color you are DOING IT WRONG!

Always do your research when trying a new drug, sadly nitros seem so simple that a lot of people don't bother and miss these key points. While I firmly hold that people are just deprived of the facts when they make these mistakes, thinking you could possibly drive safely while doing these is a level of stupid well beyond my comprehension and some idiot doing it is hardly an argument against mature and responsible people using it.
