It depicts a blood-filled jail cell at the Fairfax County ADC. From the concrete floor I can determine that this picture was taken either on the "old side" of the jail (perhaps B floor?) or downstairs in solitary confinement.

I assume that this picture was taken/uploaded by a Fairfax County Sheriff's deputy as few others would have the ability to bring a camera into the depths of the jail.

Whoever took and uploaded this picture must have felt it was important enough to divulge to the public so I will certainly not stand in the way.

The EXIF data pulled from the image indicates the photo was taken on 1/20/2007 at 6:41am.

I did a quick search for any brutality, murders or suicides at the jail that would coincide with the picture but came up with nothing. If this photo IS of a documented suicide or something of that nature I apologize for bringing it to light.

pretty crazy if you look at the blood spatter on the inside of the door, and notice how it looks like the pool of blood ran down toward the entrance.

there's always a chance that it wasn't in fairfax ADC. although the toilet looks alot like the ones they had in the JDC a few years ago.

what's that in the back corner ? looks almost like a blue wristband..

I know from first hand knowledge the body can lose alot of blood and not suffer any serious damage. Not a sermon, just a thought.

No, but had he not put anything there we'd have thousands of useless follow up posts saying "Eww why didn't you tell me what to expect, I was unprepared."

Could be self inflected too. I have seen people on drugs, such as PCP do quite a bit of damage to them selves and not even feel it. If the deputies are going to kick someones ass I don't see them going inside the cell and locking the door to do it. The door was closed when that blood splattered. (check the inside of the jamb) Maybe the deputy could go to a public libiary computer and tell us what the story is so we don't all have to sit around and guess if he is too shy to do so from his own computer.

In response to naked shoplifter's comment on everybody looking at this thread, it will be interesting to watch the views of this thread counter.

As for the blood, look just above the hinge closest to the ground, theres blood on the door jam there.

If you look closely, or enlarge the photo, you'll see that blood is smeared, almost like from fingers as someone was trying to hold on as they were pulled out...

The 24-year-old man's hand was bleeding from allegedly punching the window; he reportedly refused treatment from rescue personnel. He was taken to Inova Access, where he allegedly grabbed and squeezed a doctor's fingers. He was then taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he removed bandages from his hand and allegedly tried to bite a deputy."

No way theres that much blood out of one's hand. Thats like severed artery type amout of blood.

Heh, scenes like that are quite common in jails. Most likely the photo was taken by an investigation unit to document whatever crime had been committed there. If you think fairfax is too nice to have blood or feces all over their cells you'd most likely be wrong. Jail isn't disneyland. And that wristband is most likely a wristband given to inmates to make tracking them easier by scanning the bar code.

If you cut the artery by the wrist you will bleed mucho blood. Especially if he took the bandage off that was closing the wound in the first place.

Agree with you CSI's about the spatter - the blood in the inside of the door is higher velocity and matches the spatter on the inside of the jamb, meaning the door was closed at the time. A deputy would not have shut the door behind him when he went in, so homie was inside by himself when it happened.

The blood on in by the hinge on the upright of the door is a smear, obviously occurred with the door open.

I would say that this pretty much rules out the deputy caused the blood bath theory.

You can't really tell how big that room is. Lots of rooms look like that from outside the door. Could have easily been a cellmate beating.
Also looks like a body was drug out through door in the bottom right of that pic

this isn't on the old side, it's in the detoxification and treatment (DT) block that you are put in after the drunk tank but before you go into population.

If you look at the door frame you will see there is a distinct line where the blood stops and there is clean paint (except for where blood dripped down when the door was opened) suggesting that the door was CLOSED when all the blood was realeased. I doubt any sheriffs deputy, no matter how huge, would but himself alone inside the cell of an inmate. If the cut on the persons hand was deep enough then there absolutely can be that much blood.

also notice the pieces of bandage that are in the pool of blood...

If this had happened in any other county but Fairfax, it would be on the news. If this shit happened in DC, it would be all over the news.

Don't know what happened there obviously but it does look like someone either wripped open some fresh stitches or fell and gashed their head open.
