Tooth/mouth question...

Pulled out my own tooth a few months ago because it felt like it was infected and I wanted to save money from the dentist. At first everything felt fine and it was a clean break but my gums started overlapping. Not in much pain but I’m starting to think this could get worse...has anyone experienced anything like this?

If you didn’t pack the socket you might have an issue. Basically the top layer of gums will grow over, leaving a hole underneath where the tooth was. Food can get in there an literally start rotting, breeding bacteria.

If you still have access to the area where the tooth was, get a syringe and fill it with warm salt water, and flush it out at least a couple of times a day.

im a dentist and you made a mistake. sorry no offense. Any character minded dentist would have removed it for you probably no charge, if you really honestly needed the help $ wise. We do it all the time

'Good luck' is 100% WRONG, sockets are NOT "packed" , food NEVER entraps itself under healing gum tissue. WRONG WRONG WRONG

I’m very glad your dental school didn’t require a basic grasp of written English.

Stop your gibberish, Meade. You are not now, not have you ever been, a dentist. Your rambling post full of misspellings and horrible punctuation, as well as inaccurate information, proves that it is you.

OP: What possessed you to do something so stupid? You must be one dumb a hole to think about it and then actually go through with it. Hope you don't have children

I couldn’t go to my regular dentist because my gums are very sore and often bleed at the slightest touch of dental instruments. This normally wouldn’t be a problem, but I have full-blown AIDS and don’t feel comfortable bleeding on other people.

Yeah you should definitely visit the dentist when you have this kind of problem. I mean the dentist actually studied for this type of thing. They have the adequate knowledge in order to help you keep your teeth. I've been like you before, when I would just forget to go to the dentist or not look after my teeth properly. Recently though I moved to another country and I started taking better care of my teeth, since everyone here seems to do it. I am going to a clinic now far from my house (here's their website: https://www.artisticsmilesmiamidentist.com/contact-us/) and I am very happy with them. The staff is very nice and the dentist is very professional
