WTL is way beyond committed/obsessed to posting in these threads. It's beyond someone just saying they don't like a show. Long ago it entered the territory of being REALLY damn creepy.

As in absolutely no life but to post about these shows and do it CONSTANTLY.

Possibly, he is on here to share information that he has that many of us are very interested in hearing. He makes it easier to find than us going on the internet.

I think it is kind of funny how the Junkies share embarrassing personal information on their show...like treating their kids like crap, running around on their wives, hanging out in bars and ignoring their families...and then cry like little bitches when what they say is discussed on this Forum. The King of Ashburn ain't The King of the Internets.

Are these guys sure they have been doing this for 15 years? Because they don't act like it.

Whats the scuttle butt on Lurch missing the show yesterday?

I caught the tail end of the show today. Something along the lines of the Junks said Lurch was out sick yesterday (Feb 15) but today Lurch corrected them by saying it was a "personal day".

I too find his radically off base salary assumptions and declarations that Mike is fat, lazy and unfunny incredibly interesting and certainly something that no one here could do. I mean those are certainly novel concepts that one could not grasp by simply listening to the show once.

The thing is, I agree with WTL about his Mike related dislike but man he posts a LOT about it and sort of makes it uncomfortable. I don't think it's jealousy on his part but who knows?

You weren't posting because you forgot your password and couldn't logout of the fake account you created.

Also, that has nothing to do with the part you quoted from me. Again, I don't understand it. You seem like you have fairly significant reading comprehension problems.

If you mean the junks.tv site as being the official junkies forum . I don't think they've bothered with that site since the format change at WJFK. No new contact at all. Message board had some action for awhile but even that has slowed down.
Wonder why they have it up any longer or get one of their flunkies to add some new contact once in awhile

Why does Brett Olivario have anything to do with a "Sports" station?

Today he said that he saw Justin Biebers "Never Say Never" last night and that it was a good movie?

Wtf? you're almost 30's years and you paid $14(?) to see the IMax version of a movie about a 16 yrs teen pop star marketed to pre-pubescent girls. I can understand that if your girl "made" you see it. However, after admitting to seeing it, you said it was good movie and he has an interesting life. You SUCK at being a man and SUCK at life.

Justin Bieber is 16 or 17 years old. I don't care what you say, his life cannot be that compelling, especially being Canada.

Brett isn't only idiot on that show. I'm back in DC and I listened to them for a partial segment today - in which they endlessly question some idiot intern who can't hear and won't go to the doctor, about 10 minutes of that total crap was enough.

What that show needs is: 1. some radio talent, 2. a real producer and 3. less dumb-ass jargon - "silly", "money", "cicsed", "joan", etc. OK guys, we get it. Time to move on.

It's hard to make WTOP entertaining, but

Funny, those were the only two segmens I caught. And of course every idiot caller had to call in with their stupid story/anecdote.

Even Funnier is I also eneded up tuning into WTOP after those segments.

Morning Radio is awful. I only listen to Junkies when Lurch, EB, or Cakes is talking. If its JP or Brett then its the same thing as a commercial and the station is promptly changed.

Can't stand anymore of JP's selfish/narcissistic rationalizations or justifications for his actions .

Some people need a couple to take the edge off before flying. I don't think it is that abnormal. Flying can be stressful for some people.

If it was just a random morning and he wasn't flying and he needed some booze, that might be less normal.

That's actually bullshit. Most people who have that kind of problem will get a Valium from their doctor or take a Dramamine.

No, it is not actually bullshit. There is a BIG difference betwen Valium and a couple of beers. Sometimes the problem isn't so severe t require Valium. Dramamine? Do you even know what it is for?

You are an idiot. Most people do NOT go get a valium for christ's sake. It's hilarious that you actually act as if it's better for you or even normal behavior. It isn't at all.

You are seriously a moron... Dramamine?? You have no clue what you even use it for do you? Glad you are such an authority on what people take before flying. Jesus.

From a "Fear of Flying" blog...

2. Take a Motion Sickness Medication
I personally prefer Dramamine, though there are other motion sickness medicines as well. I like Dramamine because it comes in a chewable form, which makes it easier and more convenient to take. It is especially important to have food in your stomach when you take Dramamine. I learned that the hard way by vomiting before a flight once! Dramamine is nice because it calms your stomach and makes you drowsy, which keeps you from being even more uptight.

There's actually about 1 million references on Google about taking Dramamine to treat fear of flying.

It's for nausea and motion sickness you fucking retard, not for anxiety from a fear of flying.

You SERIOUSLY self medicate like this and act like it's any better than drinking a beer?

No dispute that it puts you to sleep. Show me one where it "calms the nerves." Besides, like I said, some people just need a couple of drinks versus a drug like dramamine or valium. You would agree that people are effected differenlty by the situation, correct?

I don't self-medicate at all before flying. What I'm saying is that if you are anxious about flying, there are better ways to deal with it than getting drunk. All alcohol does is turn nervousness into belligerence.

At 7am in the fucking morning??? Maybe people who scream about bars in the Atlanta airport not being open at 8am need to know the difference between being sober and being an alcoholic!

So you don't understand how alcohol works in the fact it doesn't make everyone belligerent, even if you are anxious.

Dumping pills into your system is 'better' than having a beer?

Jesus christ.

There's a difference between taking a prescribed medication to deal with an anxiety issue and freaking out because you can't get a cocktail at 8am in the morning.

Shocker, you still aren't getting the fact that you dumping something in your system you need a prescription for and you are acting like that is infinitely better than a drink.

It really isn't better.

Listened to Junkies trying to talk NBA playoffs Monday morn. Cakes said nothing . EB chimed in, as he has too with pretty much everything, but could tell hadn't been paying a whole lot of attention to it. JP threw in stuff he'd read about, oh look boy does some homework, but what he was saying didn't make much sense. Only one who knew what he was talking about was Lurch.

Unfortunately, there's nerdnicks out there listening to this inane dribble cause they still have decent ratings despite not trying anymore.

Tuned into the junkies a week or so back lookin o an alternative to andy"i'm such an old man" pollin replacing Steve Czaban show.

Except for different names of teams or celebs the act was prey much the same from 10 years ago. I find it ponderously boring. I hope EB has a heart attack one day in mid scream on he show. Now that would be entertaining.

WJFK should get Steve Czaban for an afternoon show

There are posts going back years and years on this board about how the Junkies are about to be fired. Here we are in 2015 and they're still on the air, at least 18 years after they started on WJFK, and now talking about how they just signed a new contract to stay at 106.7. Whether it shows that they're a good show or not I don't know, but it certainly shows that no one on here knows a fucking thing.

The Sports Junkies are the best. There show is the best in the world. They ask the tough questions that most shows are afraid to ask.
