I don't know if the Junkies were ever #1 anywhere. But if they did well at night and on middays at WJFK, it was because they followed D&M and Howard Stern. When they had their own shot at morning drive on WHFS, they failed miserably. And they haven't been #1 in any key demo their entire time at WJFK in the mornings.

Most of that time making nothing or next to nothing. I'm sure Peter Rosenberg has been working full-time for a long time, too.

CBS fired Mike O'Meara for similar ratings at less compensation because he was too expensive. The Junkies are bristling because CBS is giving them the option of a pay cut on the next contract. The fact is CBS could stick Holden Kushner and a couple of other guys in that slot for less money and have just as shitty ratings as the Junkies...and CBS should probably do just that.
