Eastbound 66 in the afternoon can be a pretty harrowing ride. I've driven in cities all over the country and few roads feel as dangerous as 66E between the Parkway and the Beltway during the afternoon rush. The level of aggressive driving thru there is outpaces anything I've seen in this area. It speaks volumes that the most relaxing part of my commute home is the Beltway.

You haven't been to that many places. VA has some of the strictest driving laws and it shows. Drive around the burbs of Miami or NYC and it makes NOVA look like complete limp-wristed slow pokes. Even going across the bridge to P.G county it instantly gets a lot more intense.
