As always, freshly-brewed, single estate Kona, but as most people would know, cicadas are classically thought of as ‘singing’. They were last night when we got home, but I haven’t noticed this morning. Designed now many years ago by an architect from Nokesville, the carport is indeed car-less once again this morning, with all three cars parked abreast of each other on the gravel driveway. Per NWS, there will be no conditions to recommend putting any car into the carport at any point today either.

Hand-built by Giovani from Bolivia as I recall. The insurance folks had sent him our way when a ceiling manifold burst and caused some water damage in the foyer. We got along well, and his work on that was first rate, so we asked if he would be interested in the shed project. It was redwood at the time, but had taken some hits from falling oak branches and been preyed upon by more than just a few woodpeckers. He was up for the job if he could do it after hours, and as we have a lighting system out back, that was fine with us. He had a great time doing it and delivered what is a work of art as much as a shed. It was expensive in the end, but easily worth it.

No PII, but the shed was indeed expensive (that much cypress doesn't come cheaply after all), and it was indeed hand-built over several weeks by one guy from Peru. And just like the also hand-crafted by several guys front entryway, the shed is still gorgeous after all these years. Still larger than your living room and insured for more than your car as well.
