Its OK. Donald Trump blamed Donald Trump.

My view is that the Conservative talking heads are to blame. Trump's best chance of getting wall funding was before the 2018 election. Once Democrats gained control of the House in a landslide it was obvious the chances of getting a Wall were going way down. Yet idiots like Rush, Sean and Ann insisted that this was the time and place where Trump absolutely must make a stand for the Wall or risk losing his core supporters. This made the politically improbable politically necessary for Trump.

What did we learn from the shutdown?

Traffic in the area is directly impacted by government employees. This shit hole area would be so much nicer if it was not for all the government employees and subcontractors clogging the roads.

For the most part these 800,000 employees that were not working or the ones that were not working were not really missed for the most part. This means we can easily cut 10-15% of the local DC area government workforce. This is why every government employee votes Democrat so they can keep their cradle to grave compensation at a job they do next to nothing at.

Learned that many of the government employees that were not working either vacationed, double dipped working Uber, Lyft, Substitute Teaching or other side jobs they normally did. They will come out fat, dumb and happy because they will get their back pay.

Many of the government workers turned into beggars. I heard MANY times, "Do you offer discounts for furloughed government workers" and they were getting free food and meals.

We all paid for this crap and only in the Federal Government can you get paid for not working. If I do not work, I do not get paid, pretty simple equation.

Here's the third and final deal you give Chuck and Nancy: If you don't give us 10 billion for the wall, we're going to deport all 22 million illegals and every daca recipient. Every last one and we're going to arrest every mayor or governor who makes their state or city a sanctuary, send in the feds, and send in ICE to do their job. That's the deal. How will we pay for the wall? Who fucking cares. Make a gofund me, it'll be done in a weekend. Give us a tax cut next year to pay us back. Stop playing games with these retards. There is no debate, they're just obstructing.

Wait I thought the government workers who weren’t considered ‘essential’ won’t be getting back pay? Where as the essential employees that are currently working without pay would receive back pay.

Actually we learned that the shutdown really didnt effect anyone all that much. Maybe a few democrats didn't get their EBT card reloaded on time but really nothing else. You can get rid of 50 percent of the Feds easily and no one would notice. Except traffic would be a lot better. Trump should have kept it shutdown until the Great Wall was built. Build the Wall and crime will fall.

"really nothing else". Maybe for you. If you'd seen any real news you'd know better. And yes, people would notice. And no, the fence won't make any real difference, as you'd also know if you watched any real news or had any kind of critical thinking skills.

Walls will work and have worked for centuries. That is why illegal leeches and libtards dont want them. Just read what Border patrol has been saying about them recently. They are 100 percent in favor of building it. Build the Wall and crime will fall. Build the wall and deport them all. Actually I have worked on many government contracts. And I have seen the Feds up close. Basically if you can not cut it as a contractor you become a Fed.Half of the Feds could be released and more real work would get done. Most Feds I knew excelled at taking a crap on the taxpayers dime. Its about the only thing they produced. Hopefully the wall will get built after the next shutdown.

A wall will certainly slow down illegal leeches. No doubt it is only one part of the solution. But a vital part of the solution. Where there is an effective barrier they have halted 92 percent of the illegal leeches attempting to cross into the US. This is well documented, ilegal leeches and libtards fear a wall because they work and work well.

The only thing I learned was that we need a law to prevent shutdowns from happening whenever politicians aren't getting their way. Funding should be automatic. Whatever else is at stake can wait until they sit down and do their jobs.

After all, you don't cut the electric to your house whenever you and your wife argue over who's driving which car to work tomorrow.

It's retarded white trash behavior.

He sat in his shell afraid of how Dems would respond if they got the majority keeping the old quant ways of the Senate playing a losers game

Dems would have done exactly what he should have done . They will if they get the chance and people are tired of the GOPS inaction, shit follow or get the hell out of the way that's what the American people understand.

I will let you all in on a big secret. Nobody cares that the gov was shutdown. It mainly affected dems that didnt get their free shit in a timely manner. Most Feds are a big waste of money. My father worked as a Fed for over 30 years and he was the first one to say that over half of the Fed workforce could be eliminated and more work would get done. What a giant waste of money. Most Feds I worked with could not make it in the private work force. Except for the military get rid of the Federal lifers, more like loafers.
