It;s an attractive idea. But if they are building it from the Mejican side, and they're illegal . . . would that mean they are actually good ol' Americans?
What Trump ought to do is announce that he is going to make building the wall a first step in a slavery reparations program. ALL workers hired for this work MUST be African-American. And guaranteed a minimum $25/hour plus benefits.

Wake up, dummy. In Mexico, you have to comply with Mexican laws and conform to the dictates of the Mexican government -- which does not wish to be a party to any stupid wall-building exercises at all. Remember "Mexico will pay for it!" That's crap.
The Wall as envisioned would have to be built 100% under US jurisdiction and you would have to do a whole lot of eminent domain seizures just to get the land to build it on. In some places along the Rio Grande, the shore is too unstable to support a wall, so it would have to be built some distance inland, thereby leaving many Americans and their riverside homes and properties sitting on the Mexican side of the wall. That Trump is just so fucking stupid.

If it's stable enough for someone's house that people actually live in, then it's plenty stable enough for our wall.
