Am I the only one not impressed by this celebrity chef?
I mean you are opening a kitchen to feed wealthy government workers that live in a wealthy area because they missed one paycheck?
Yeah I get it you helped many during some recent disasters, but there are people at the doorsteps of some of your restaurants that are legit homeless and suffering. Guess they don't provide the headlines for your ego.

His food is good. Daughter went to Jaleos a couple of weeks ago and says it's still excellent after all these years (more than 25 years!). That's kind of impressive, as most restaurants deteriorate after that long.

It was Anthony Bourdain I first saw him. I wasn't impressed. His goofiness creating foam from a whip cream cannister and charging $$$$ for it.
Politics aside, I just think he is an ass. I guess it stems from the fact that he puts himself first above his employees.

Jaleo doesn't even pretend to be like an authentic tasca in Spain.
Obviously you've never been to one in Spain, because prices are comparable to Barcelona and Madrid. Seafood and raciones plates go up to $14-15 US dollars.

Had great, cheap tapas and wine off the beaten path. Very affordable groceries as well.
