I found a darling tea cozy there a few days ago. Also some plates and a cup and once I found a nice rug that only had one small tear. I love that place.

I found a mahogany Corby 7700 pants press for $14.00. There was no hanger on it, though. I put in in my cart, and several people asked what is was.

I guess, for the most part, Unique shoppers don't stay in luxury European hotels. I bought a hanger for it for $30.00, and that bad boy looks awesome next to my dresser.

My favorite purchase was for a non working Roomba. I replaced the dead battery, and it now works great.

I used to go to St. Colettas or St something on Columbia Pike near Walter Reed Drive many years ago.. I had a thing for my wife to wear a girdle for me.. now and then.. she said no way she was wearing them day to day.. she was a pantyhose woman all the way.. I used to find them in there all the time. Most of them looked brand new.. no idea where they were getting them.. assorted sizes but i could usually find one close enough. .occasionally i would have to leave empty handed..My favorites were the open bottom kind .. with garter attachments..

I saw this thread and decided to actually go in after making a donation. I found a 16 piece ironstone dinner and matching salad plate set, made in England, probably in the 1960's. All plates were clean and without scratches or chips. Unlike other plate sets, both plate sizes perfectly nested together to take up only four inches from shelf up to top plate in my cabinet. The set was $16.00. Great find.

Two days ago the lady behind the desk pointed me to a box full of Charlie Chaplin memorabilia. I’m a sucker for those old movies, so picked it up on the cheap.

To my surprise when I got home looked through the items, it wasn’t Charlie Chaplin, but rather the leader of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, Adolf Hitler. Boy was my face red. And my new armband.

Well, it's working. Sorta.
As much as an FXU advertisement ever works.

We already know it's donation crap.

Meanwhile it's amusing to see what crap people have obtained from UNIQUE.


I'm the cake-saver guy. I think I picked up some other random
items there over the years but that's the only one that impressed me.
It's the sort of thing you always find in those kinds of "stores".

I'll bet a lot of the good stuff donated are scooped up by workers there.. and just flat out kept.. or mark them cheap and buy them immediately.. if the guys working in the back where donations are made see any woman in the car and there are any kind of sexy things at all in their donation.. they probably keep them.. go home and j/off on them..(i think i would if i worked at the S.army.. lol)

.. Don't really have the time, need,desire to go any more.. used to enjoy going and finding sexy things to wash and have my wife wear.. things she would only wear to give me a thrill. not worth buying new... i am sure they either don't sell ladies things like that anymore at all.. or if they do.. it is probably very lame stuff.. even though whomever donated it very well may have been heinous looking.. it was nice to pretend they were at least semi-sexy and imagine who used to wear the things...
