C'mon. Primus is pretty lame, and the Chili Peppers are total sellout "Clear Channel-rock", but I think Fugazi's albums really rock hard. I wish those guys were still playing shows.

Ian Mackaye is a straight Edge FUG-nazi. they Suck and are responsible for every sorry EMO band around today. Primus? are you KIDDING ME? the Big Brown Beaver song should get them permanantly kicked out of the country! The Chili peppers havent done anything decent since Blood Sugar Sex Magik and even THEN they are responsible for the rise of RAP METAL. BAH! Come up with your own sound or QUIT making music

Some grassroots rap metal is good. 2 Skinnee J's from NYC and SEV locally to name a few.
None of that Limp Biscuits n' gravy stuff. Same goes for that Kid Rock guy too. Just plain weak and gives off that "been there, done that" vibe. -§

There were plenty of "emo" bands that existed before Fugazi was around. They didn't start that genre, in fact their records don't really even sound like the rest of those early "emo" bands like Gray Matter or Dag Nasty. The only reason they get stuck with that goofy emo description is because of their affiliation with Dischord. I [unintentionally] saw these guys at the DC Chili Cookoff a few years ago. I was too drunk to remember much, except that their set was pretty good even though I'm not much of a fan of that kind of stuff.

fugazi are responsible for EMO bands the way the Beatles were responible for all the bad psychadelic bands. CUZ they were the most popular and or influential of the EMO, "I CUT MYSELF IN ORDER TO FEEL" Crap-ola out there

I was so happy when I discovered their stuff re-released on CD about ten years ago. I just happened to be in Record Convergence one day and there they were.

Is that the church in Columbia Heights? I saw Fugazi play there with one of Wino's bands (Shine or Spirit Caravan) back in the late 90's...it was on one of those summer nights where the humidity was about 1000%, and the entire place was so freakin hot and humid I felt like I was going to pass out. It was intense.

I have there albums and I think they're sorta lame, I'm glad I didn't actually pay for them. Fort Reno is an excellent place for shows, and they're always free! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for cheap music entertainment during the summer months.

Fugazi sucks cuz they have no sense of humour, are self important and stiff and the un funkiest music ever invented. sheesh. I dont wanna be screamed at when i listen to music I'd rather be entertained or uplifted. I can get polotics or a lesson somewhere else

I never said they werent truly Virtuous human beings who did social good I said thier music was terrible! I prefer PGMG or Q&NU thats all. Bravo to them for being upstanding human beings. I know All about Dischord, I know all about their bands and I still think ian is a pompous self rightious ass. The music business he rails against is corrupt but his monklike self congratulary attitude is also beyond the pale. If I wanted to be screamed at by some bald old guy I'd go pee on Pgens front yard.
