What game were you watching? Phantom block in the back back negated what should’ve been a 80 TD by 17 saved the game from getting blown wide open. Game was not as close as the score indicated. Several key WHS players missed 1st & 2nd quarters. Once everyone was in you saw how easily and quickly Bulldogs put up points. Only thing holding Bulldogs back is the conservative play calling they do in the first half. Also WHS had wayyyy more penalties and crucial ones go against them to help and extend LB drives.

Ummmm, no. WF was 2 or 3 mistakes away from scoring 60 point and blowing out LB more than LB was 2/3 mistakes from winning.

Sloppy game on both sides, but entertaining.

Pretty honest assessment. Soco over Lb, then they’ll lose to Freedom/WF/Smith

WF won for two reasons:

QB - Kim was just better. LB has a good QB for sure, but not as good as Kim.
Coaching - Simmons always plays to win by not losing. Conservative approach. Doesn't need the blowout, just the W.

WF 17 is a transfer. No one on LB's secondary could stay with him. Fastest kid out there.

On a side note, looks like Jon Shields has turned CV back into a contender. Good for him.

Where is the best place to see Northern Virginia high school football rankings? I have found a couple of sites that only show the top 10 or 20 schools. Others, like MaxPreps want you to sign up. I want to see all the schools in Fairfax County and and where they rank, even if they are near the bottom. Thanks.

Losers blame refs. If anything WHS had more calls go against them that led to taking points off the board or PI to extend drives for LB. bye SoCo gonna whoop dat ass when you all play them.

QB & TE are way overrated no caps.

Go fuck a duck, maybe 2 QBs in the whole state that could’ve thrown that ball that far with that velocity going against his body. Must be the loud obnoxious Chantilly fan. Bulldogs gonna smash you all.

Westfield will only get better after this game, like they do every year. For Braddock, this is the best they could have played and wont get any better. They will probably coast thru the rest of the regular season schedule then lose to SoCo Make the playoffs, then lose to SoCo again.

For all the talent LB has, the coaching just blows, its the same thing every year, they can blowout the patsies on the schedule, but not the better teams. Maybe if the coaching staff spent more time watching film and coaching then worrying about posting on social media, they might get better.

Name 1 signature win, Doc has had since he took over at LB?
In fact, name 1 thing that Doc has brought to the program?
I am not talking about the players behaving in class either

He threw a ball 55yds in the air going against his body that got there pretty darn quick. I’ve seen & worked 20+yrs of Hs football and only a handful of kids that could make that throw.

Bulldogs days are numbered. One takeaway is that Oline and Dline has been subpar for several years now. They commit too many stupid penalties and undisciplined which is surprising for how successful they are. Once their QB leaves Concorde is ripe for the picking and it will be Chantilly filling that void. Qb makes that team go and masks a lot of their stink.

I would tend to agree with this. LB was able to run the ball pretty much at will last night and they had to rely on big plays and LB mistakes for their points. I believe WF would win a rematch though.

Its not all about winning and losing football games.
Its building character and being a mentor to these young men.
Doc has far exceeded this by making them accountable for their actions, by being discipline and making sure each one of our boys are significant.
Being part of the Lake Braddock football program is a brotherhood that when they leave Lake Braddock, they are ready to succeed and contribute to society. That's what a successful football program should be

Freedom vs Smith will be for the Class 6 Reg B vs Reg A Title. Freedom was sent away from the Northern Region. So as someone else stated, it'll be Westfield vs SoCo for the North & Freedom vs Smith for the South. Either team will beat Westfield. SoCo should be a better opponent. Smith is scary and with only about 4 Seniors, they'll be back with more talent next year. Y'all know how kids transfer to go play for Chris Scott!!! He's building the Chesapeake version of Highland Springs. Just sit back and enjoy the view!

You must love sucking coach Overtons dick. You are balls deep into Freedom. Look no one takes you seriously when you keep saying they were sent away, so stop. If you love them so much why don’t you join their staff instead of riding it. Bulldogs 3 rings in a row and before that Cvilles 2*(I say 2 because that cheating scumbag at OL was caught red handed cheating and stripped of the title) football in the North is played at a high level and can compete and beat any team from pwco or the beach area.

Coach Scott NEVER had his State Title taken away. Maybe it should have.

But, Every team has transfers. During scrimmage season, the first thing the old guys in the stands want to know is who's new & where did he come? Westfield & Centreville have them too!! If kids move, it's legit. So get off the high pony. You're obviously upset because a nerve was tweaked. The truth hurts when you know things are slipping away. South County is getting ready for their opportunity! BTW they're in the right place to get some of the better players to transfer in and help get those Northern Regional Titles!!!

Transfers make the world go round. Transfers will take the Bulldogs down. Get on the ride or get left behind!

10 out of the last 18 D6 State Titles were won by the Concorde. Not sure where you get off saying they haven’t been relevant. That doesn’t include the other teams in FCPS who have played in the finals or the state playoffs. NoVa football is and will always be relevant. All football is down across the state. More schools and more counties equals a larger distribution of talent.

If Simmons was smart, he'd look for some funding to start a Sports Academy to swoop up all the talent that's moving out west anyway. I'm sure some of the Redskins management would help him find it. He just needs to get out ahead of the rush. The Concord is about to melt down.

Hateful comments like that make you look crazy stupid then jealous. Get over Coach P’s demise already? Damn, you’re a sour old man. What team is yours or are you just an ass troll who spews hate in general?

Nothing happens in VA about transfers. VHSL actually has zero authority. It's up to the school district to issue it's schools' penalties. Never happens because there's never any proof that a coach actually recruited a player.

So, either join the club or shut up. You can't change anything.

It's up to the individual school registrar, if he or she cares about where the player lives they will shut it down. As long as the mail goes through they won't know or do anything. Principals need numbers for support so they don't really care. As long as any student stays uner the radar and is low maintenance they can go wherever they want to.

He moved into the WF boundary. He supposedly did it just to play football at WF, but he does legitimately go to Westfield.

From what I understand, Avery wanted to play for Westfield. I guess it's like all the pros who want to go to the Pats. They want a legitimate shot at the title and Westfield always seems to have a shot every year. Anyway, he wasn't recruited. He asked his mom to move into the Westfield district so he could play for them.

As I always say - no one cares about a player or two transferring every now and then. It happens. No big deal. It just is ridiculous when a handful of teams get 5, 10, 15 transfers every single year. Self policing doesn't work either. Because some principals and DSA's play everything by the book. And some don't.

#17 might help get Westfield to game 14 vs SoCo. But if they somehow get to the State Final game Freedom or Smith is gonna crush them.Their student section will rush the field because they think the Bulldogs always win and they'll get crushed too!

Highland Springs will play Stone Bridge beforehand and they'll lose on the final play again. Some things never change!!

Just because a team wins, it doesn't mean they cheat. Kids and their families are drawn to leaders that can actually affect people's lives. Great coaches attract great people who want to work for them. Once the word gets out, there's no stopping Freedom's success.

So, unless someone has evidence of cheating, just shut up and enjoy the show!

BTW, it wouldn't be too hard to catch REAL recruiting interactions. All it takes is for a top tier talented kid and their family to set up a trap and turn them in to the school administrators! Common, get real, jealousy is for losers!

Did Woodson really storm the field after beating Oakton on a last second field goal? Really? WTW know Oakton didn’t win a game last year. Guess WTW is back to being below avg team. Bar is set real low. LB & Soco gonna punish them as well as Spartans and Rams.

Looks like I have a critic! So I’m going to address this one time only. My sole purpose of doing this is to engage the area in conversation about the upcoming week. Me and my wife recently retired after my youngest son graduated college and we moved to Neptune Beach, FL. So, this is my way of keeping up with HS football in the area. I think the majority like what I do on here, you sound extremely bitter about something. Maybe you or your kids go to a bad high school, or don’t get in the game. I don’t know! Don’t care to know. Don’t like what I do or say? Read and keep it moving. Thank you to everyone that defended me, as I get on this website once a week, every Monday. Thank you.

1. Annandale @ Falls Church (-5)
- Falls Church won 10-7. Annandale has essentially one game left that they can win. Lot of close losses for the Atoms.

2. Centreville (-21) @ South Lakes
- Centreville won 17-14. A lot closer than expected. Is Centreville not that they seem?

3. Hayfield @ Robinson (-21)
- Robinson won 20-13. Hayfield won last year, (for the first time since the 90’s) and they played a respectable game.

5. Herndon @ Stuart (-6)
- Stuart won 21-7.

6. Lake Braddock @ Westfield (-17)
- Westfield won 40-34. Looked like an absolute shootout between 2 good teams. Will they meet again in 2 months?

7. Langley (-7) @ Fairfax
- Fairfax won 34-16. Bad loss for the Saxons, considering how they played last week.

8. Lee @ Chantilly (-28)
- Chantilly won 56-7.

9. Madison @ South County (-7)
- SoCo won 29-7. From my understanding, this game was closer than the final score indicates. SoCo is putting on an impressive year thus far!

10. Marshall @ West Potomac (-6)
- Marshall won 36-33. Good game!

11. McLean @ Edison (-7)
- McLean victorious 25-22, ruining the Eagles’ homecoming.

12. Mount Vernon (-7) @ Yorktown
- MV won 14-9, but did not cover.

13. Oakton @ Woodson (-24)
- Woodson won 20-17. But they have gone back to being mediocre. I thought they were dismantle Oakton.

14. Wakefield @ Washington-Lee (-17)
- Wakefield won 19-17. Arlington football….

15. West Springfield @ T.C. Williams (-20)
- WS won 62-47. It was neat to see an indoor HS football game! Where was the defense, though?

WF owns Smith. Every. Fucking. Year.

Freedom beat WF by 4 yards after knocking out their QB early in the first half (that was the game-plan btw) and WF having to use a receiver as their QB after the backup came in and fumbled twice in a row, giving Freedom even more of a lead. Simmons had the dawgs ready to win and then had a rare brainfart on the last play and went with a power run up the middle instead of letting Morin option wide left. Freedom is nothing to brag about, especially after the absolute ass-raping they got a week later in the championship game. Does anyone believe WF would have lost that badly to Mancheater?

1. Annandale @ Fairfax (-6)
- I can see this one going either way. Taking the Rebs at home to take the Homecoming win.

2. Centreville (-10) @ T.C. Williams
- Might be closer than expected…

3. Chantilly (-17) @ Edison
- Another blow out win for the Chargers.

4. Falls Church (-10) @ Herndon

5. Freedom-South Riding @ Stone Bridge (-30)
- Didn’t realize I was a week early with this one. Same spread.

6. Freedom-Woodbridge (-20) @ Battlefield
- I remember when Battlefield was going to the state semis.

7. Hylton @ Patriot (-7)
Good match-up here.

8. Marshall @ Lake Braddock (-17)

9. Oakton @ Langley (17)

10. Madison (-10) @ Robinson
- Game of the week, if I had to pick one. Will be a good home field advantage for the Rams, on Homecoming.

11. South Lakes (-6) @ West Springfield
- Should be a good game…

12. Stonewall Jackson @ Westfield (-14)

13. Stuart (-7) @ Washington-Lee

14. Wakefield @ McLean (-3)
Potential winning streak for McLean? Been a while since I was able to say that.

15. Woodson (-14) @ Lee

16.Yorktown (-9) @ Hayfield
- Good QB match up in this one. Yorktown fields an overall better team, however.

C’mon Atoms, so close! Going with them until they prove me right. AA by 3

> 2. Centreville (-10) @ T.C. Williams

Can’t believe how poorly coached TCW is. Made Spartans look like world beaters. Cville by 14 pulling away in 4th. Avery Ford (what’s up with kids name Avery that they love to transfer to schools) is a big target and Shield’s go to.

> 3. Chantilly (-17) @ Edison

A lot of talk about how Chargers have turned the corner too bad Curry didn’t think so 100% when he scheduled al these patsies. Come back to haunt them come district game time. Would love to see CC play a LB or BRun or SB so we could see if they are a legit threat or paper tigers. Tilly in a blow out.

Mehhh. FC covers.

Be ugly. SB covers.

> 6. Freedom-Woodbridge (-20) @ Battlefield

Battlefield played Woodbridge a lot closer than I thought, have a tougher task this week, FW qb is playing well, as he goes the Eagles go. FW covers.

> 7. Hylton @ Patriot (-7)

Hylton is down this year. Pats win by 17

> 8. Marshall @ Lake Braddock (-17)

LB wins by 21.

> 9. Oakton @ Langley (17)

Oakton in an upset. Took WTW to the wire as Cavs kicked game winning fg as time expired. Saxon’s inexplicable loss to Rebels.

> 10. Madison (-10) @ Robinson

Warhawks win and cover easily. Lost to Langley, no identity.

> 11. South Lakes (-6) @ West Springfield
> - Should be a good game…

Expect a lot of points and yds they the air. WSHS in an upset 45-39

> 12. Stonewall Jackson @ Westfield (-14)

SWJ athleticism gives Bulldogs fits. Expect a close game going into half and Bulldogs make their adjustments as always and pull away. Win by 10.

> 13. Stuart (-7) @ Washington-Lee

Mehhhh. Stu covers

Mehhh. Highlander’s win streak. So weird to say aloud.

WTW covers but fools gold, Lee stinks and got spanked as Tilly hung 50 on them.

Potential to put some points on board but Hayfield has been very inconsistent. Yorkers cover

Do coaches actually have a say in their schedule or is it based off of the previous years record or something like that? Genuinely curious

Live in the past & get owned by Freedom. Smith had Every 1st down vs Highland Springs called back AND the winning TD wasn't even a catch! We all know what HS would do to Westfield. And because you're too cowardly to play the Springers, you've already lost! Heck South Country is gearing up to now get past the Bulldogs too. It's been a nice run, now it's time to stop running in the left lane like a scared old person & move over!

Chris Scott is turning the program around and you know that the 757 talent will gravitate towards the Tigers. Northern Virginia Talent is gravitating towards your completion! It's sad because you're the last to know about it but it's no less the truth!

There are no longer Disctrict scheduling requirements in place!!!! Highland Springs plays 4 district games. It's more of a gentleman's agreement at this point. But for schools in the Concord District, they can only play 4 teams anyway. So, it's more of how those schools try to prop up their power points while they try to stay within 1/2 hour driving distance. It's all about keeping a high comfort level which they feel they deserve!

That’s not even close to how scheduling works. You have district games and then you have games that are scheduled for you and games you can schedule. Each team is given three games by a scheduling committee. Then you find the rest of your games outside of your district on your own. Concorde teams must find one extra game because they have a smaller district that everyone else. There is also a tier based ranking off of power points that comes into play as well.

You better get a start on recruiting a better OL & RB. How can you forget last year? Things are definitely getting worse for y'all. Won't be surprised if SWJ hands you an L on Friday. Noah, maybe you should finish your season on their team. It's not too late!

I have a good handle as to who this drunk is. Embarrassment to his family that his own kids don’t want nothing to do with him. Wife left him for the neighbor cuz he spent more time getting piss drunk than giving her attention. Go carry your “cup” around some more fields, you’re a laughing stock.

Shame on your for trash talking a kid. You’re a sad individual.

Without Trolls, FFU wouldn't exist. No one on this sight wants to have an adult discussion. The only place that's half way decent is @ VaPreps.com. But no one would use that site since it's moderated with a pretty firm hand of compliance. That's something that none of the punks on FFU have experienced in their lives.

I'm entertained by the overall stupidity here & glad to see the gay porn is long gone from the football posts.

Maybe Hayfield? They're 0-4, and likely expected to be better at this pointm

What happened to Hayfield. They had a tough last second loss to Hylton and since then had some bad losses that they shouldn’t have. They have a ton of athletes a good Sr qb, what gives?

Hayfield has played one of the toughest schedules to date. Fr-W, LB, Soco and an inexplicable loss to Robo. What is surprising is how they got blown out by Fr, LB & Soco, really expected them to be able to hang with those schools having the athletes that they have. Just goes to show that being a 7on7 champ in the spring and summer means nothing when it’s time to put the pads on in the fall.

Robinson’s loss to Langley is quite surprising. Langley’s only win of the season and Saxons got blown out by Fairfax and Chantilly. Thought Rams with new offense and qb guru was supposed to turn this thing around, can’t do that when you lose to Langley.

Might have been useful if the gay porn poster had mentioned this right away instead of posting porn for a couple of months first and then mentioning why. You suck - porn poster.

I started the other thread because the porn was pointless, I don't understand, not sure I care to. I wish that posters would concentrate on things like who is coming up from lower classmen that will impact their team, jv results, injuries and trends within each district. But it really never seems to happen. The true fans likely were chased away by the gay porn.

So, if that was the goal, then what's accomplished is that mostly trolls post here. Maybe I should start a 'NO TROLLS ALLOWED HS Football 2019" thread?

Yep - Nova football is very bad and only getting worse. Nova is way behind the rest of the state. Overall bad teams and bad coaching. Past 10 years it has gotten worse and worse. Teams like LB, Centerville, Robinson, use to be powers. No longer the case. The talent is west in Loudon County or Montco MD. But Fairfax football is down and does not look promising after the past few years.

70K+ views/visits say pple weren’t chased away, majority just has little to offer. I will say though, noticeably absent from this years thread is “Region Watcher” and WF Bulldogbooster guy. Trolls & gay stuff must’ve chased them off too bad. They did provide some good nuggets.

Sometimes you have to be careful for what you wish for, but it CAN happen. What was their JV record last year? Because without transfers, their JV & Freshman records are pretty good prediction of how things are gonna play out.

Highland Springs only allowed something like 14 point total for all of 2018 with their JV squad. Oscar Smith averaged less than 7 points all season. Both were undefeated!

Westfield JV was undefeated last year. Fresh was 6-2. But no, JV and especially freshman records are not necessarily a "pretty good prediction of how things are gonna play out." Now if they are 0-8 or 8-0 then sure. Westfield JV was 4-3 in 2016 but they won state championship in 2017.

Just try to beat SWJ this week & let's see how things pan out. Good Luck, Bulldogs.

I'll try my hand at some of these:

Fairfax wins and covers

Falls Church wins, doesn't cover

Lake Braddock wins, doesn't cover

I think Oakton takes this one outright.

South Lakes wins and covers

Stuart wins and covers (Still can't call them "Justice")

When's the last time McLean was giving points? But I think they win and cover

Woodson wins and covers. Woodson has come back to Earth, but even an ordinary Woodson is more than 14 points better than a team that lost to TJ.

Yorktown wins, but doesn't cover.

The gay porn didn't chase Steve2k away. It's was the constant haters who didn't like his predictions, nitpicked his analyses and trolled his posts just to troll them. He complained about it, tried to start his own thread so the haters would hate in the main thread and eventually just said fuck it. Can't blame him.

And Simmons pulls up the most promising players (JV to varsity, freshmen to JV and very rarely, freshmen to varsity) to start getting them ready to play at the high level. It's been his system for years. I figured most varsity coaches did that.

^^^^^ Absolutely correct. Also, a lot of times, freshmen will play jv & dress varsity. Majority of schools will have 5-10 freshmen on the varsity roster.

another week. another shitty opponent for chantilly. they remind me of south lakes. schedule 8-9 easy games, lose the two hard games you play. fact that there schedule is so easy makes me sick

Don’t hate da playa, hate da game.
Another game we hang 50+ on someone. Getting us ready to step on Madison, Oakton, Cville and finally Westfield. We take the Concorde and the #1 seed and have home field through playoffs and trounce SoCo or LB.

Chantilly posters should shut up. You havent played anyone and you’re really not very talented. Keep your mouths shut until you actually accomplish something. I bet you get beat way before you get to districts. Westfield won’t lose and it proven you can’t beat Centreville. Watch Edison come out and smash you. Go dogs

Can NOVA Teams compete with the best around the state? I have my doubts. The Oscar Smiths, Highland Springs, Stonebridge, Freedom, Colonial Forge. The coaching is obviously lacking but can they match up athletically?

Those that question Westfield are trolls on this thread. The best place to debate this issue like an adult is VaPreps. It's moderate and you have a choice between a free vs paid subscription.

While I'm here, to me what's so interesting about your list is that I had exactly the same teams, I came to the same conclusion, AND with the Western, Stone Bridge, is that ALL of them are or would now be in the South Regional bracket. Wedtfield definitely has less competition to get to the State Title game. There are teams which will challenge them. So, there's no guarantee they'll get there. Madison, Centreville, Lake Bradfock and South Country will challenge them. But your point still stands, i doubt any of them have a chance vs them.
