Some 47 percent of eligible voters were able to cast ballots on Tuesday. That's the highest mid-term turnout since 1966 when 49% made it to the polls. This sort of trend is obviously very bad for the GOP.

Vote suppression has a long and proud history within the craven GOP. These retrogrades would really like to constrain the franchise to white male landowners.
