"national electric code"

For example, for hot tub the code has (a few, many) ROUGHT descriptions of product categories then explains "follow manufacturer instructions".

We all know what that means: UL never tests things! It means products that may electrocute you as you bathe are being sold and ELECTRICIANS by code never bother to check a damn thing when installing - excepting to plug it in.

INFACT - THE INDUSTRY LIKES TO KEEP IT QUIET - BUT IF YOU SEARCH YOU'LL FIND AN AMAZING NUMBER OF HOT TUB / POOL ELECTROCUTION DEATHS IN USA RECENTLY

(new code: tells electrician to keep their nose out of business, floods code with many products descriptions they are not to inspect - perhaps HALF THE VERY THICK BOOK. what this does: wastes student time and lets (china, who) make un-instpected/able products that kill. how you sue: you CAN'T - their in china, you'd need a supreme court ruling to get them in USA just to begin the trial)

in general the NEC code is BEING HACKED and getting less descriptive and educational and more making rules that they are not to be held responsible for - the vague aspects of anything but the critical part (data, information) of electrician's jobs

political job rip-offs: Virginia bills taxpayer for creating/maintaining it's own electrical code which is mostly COPIED from NEC. goodness knows how many times people are billed for "the right installation instructions"

the NEC still contains allot of useful generic limitations, tables: but it's quickly being flooded with trash as well. also it's ever more vague (this reduces their legal exposure)
