K-Mart is hell.

Understaffed, dirty, infested with unsupervised beaner kids running amok, and aisles of trash carrying the label of convicted felon Martha Stewart.

^^^ Totally agree. This store is closing because it SUCKS. All K-Mart should follow suit. It's a third world hell hole with cheap merchandise and poor customer service

I love Kohl's and JC Penny is alright.

I just hope a Wegmans or a Walmart opens in that Annandale spot

When I was just starting out and needed to stock my apartment with the basics, pots, pans, dishes, shower curtain, towels, sheets, the local K-Mart was the store to go to. Service wasn't great and the stores were dirty but they had what you needed. The closing of K-Marts leaves us with WalMart and Amazon to fill this need. Plus it will leave a huge hole in the footprint of downtown Annandale.

A store such as Target could easily take on that location.

Not enough draw to that area for a Target. They're smarter than that and have much better opportunities for location elsewhere.
