Roommate keeps turning off hot water to washing machine

Does cold water clean your clothes as well? I was under the impression you need heat to properly lift stains and sanitize. He turns cuts off hot water bur then doesnt turn it back on once hes finisehd. Kind of inconsiderate and about to chew him out

If thats the worst your roommate does you are lucky. Biggest incentive to go to work and earn a great living is of course no more roommates till you marry. Roommates suck even the very best of them.

Wash colors in cold and whites in hot. Its not that difficult.

I used to have a cheap-ass Hotpoint washer that required turning off the hot water to do a cold wash. That sombitch lasted 25 years and was still working when I threw it in the recycling bin at the dump.
Just get in the habit of checking the valve every time you do a load. No big deal. Life has bigger problems, fuck it.
