if it's a "bad cancer", and I trust his doctors carefully know, it's a matter of time. treatment is very harsh - very hard on the elderly especially.

LOL! The military is full of dumbfucks who had to enlist in order to find some sort of gainful employment. We make a dog-and-pony show out of "Thank you for your service" these days, but in most cases, there was never really anything to be thankful for.
