Dan Snyder and the Myth of the Season Ticket Waiting List

For the better part of 30 years now, I never bothered to contact the team because...you know, the word on the street was there were no tickets available and there was a waiting list. After all, every game was sold out since 1966. Some reports had the waiting list at 200,000 at one point.

Earlier this week, the team revealed that the season ticket waiting list was a myth and has

...been for some time. Some have speculated that in the wake of the Capitals Stanley Cup run, the Redskins are re-thinking their fan strategies.

So, upon hearing this news, I excitedly called the team to buy season tickets. When a salesperson picked up the phone, I was told they would put my name on a list and they would call me back.

I give up on this fucking team...good riddance you filthy animals.

Maybe you should grow up a little and find an adult hobby instead of paying to watch a bunch of niggers run around in tights while playing a child's game. I bet you're one of those cucks who wears a jersey with a nigger's names on the back, like you're the property of that nigger.

Like most faggots that would pay to see these niggers run around, you've been played.

Skins will be doing well to achieve .500 this season.

Abput 5 years ago I signed up for e-mail alerts for Redskin news. I no longer live in the area and they've always beem my favorite team. Well, I got a call a couple months later from a guy, who worked for the skins trying to sell me a season ticket package. I declined and said I live too far away. I started thinking, after I hung up, isn't there a 20,000 person waiting list?
I read the article yesterday and have decided "Fuck the Redskins". If they're going to bullshit their fans than it's not a team that I will support

A fucking nigger's name on the back of my jersey? Uh no...we root for white athletes only at my house.

As for adult hobbies, I enjoy hunting and fishing and home brewing.

Here is a clue to the seating question. When Fed Ex opened 20+ years ago the seats were mostly filled, but it was because someone bought up the unsold seats that the games were not blacked out.

If anyone has noticed the large amounts of seats in the upper decks covered by decorative coverings to hide the empty seats. The coverings are in Fed Ex Colors, and say Fed Ex on them.

These seats were the cheapest back in the day, but now they are not on the market for the fans to buy. The fans who held those seats were shifted to other seats.

Judge for yourself from the current pics and the before pics.

This isn't the Green Bay Packers. I see exactly ZERO Red Skins jerseys, hats, or otherwise on the Metro ever.

Nice publicly-funded stadium, faggots.

They probably don't even have good soup.

An article I read said that the skins haven't sold out since moving
And JKC started the sellout myth before Snyder bought the team

I remember the tickets were impossible to get in the early 1970's and continued until the Redskins left RFK

Games at RFK were something special

I remember when the Cooks moved the stadium to Landover. Knowing that everyone knew Landover was a ghetto full of savage niggers, they renamed that piece of land "RalJon".

Was that before or after the Redskins arrived? In or outside of the stadium?

White people do everything they can not to encounter niggers in their ordinary lives, then pay through the nose to watch them play a child's game in a stadium.

What irony.

had season tickets for 20 + years

there was a waiting list during much of the rfk years, sometimes in the thousands

just before (I believe) and after the move, the waiting list disappeared

Native Washingtonian. As a teenager in the early '80's I signed up for season ticket wait list. Was about #25,000. In those days waitlist could buy preseason tix b/c not mandatory for season ticket holders to buy. Moved up about 100 spaces per year until new stadium built. New stadium was finally off list - was able to buy 2 tix in lower bowl if I added "Tailgate Club" membership - Belt Buckle Boy money grab since that revenue is not shared - about $75 / ticket / game on top of ticket face to get AYCE buffet burgers/dogs. Kept tix for about 5 yrs but the product on field got so bad + the experience in stands was miserable. Gave up tix and decided to watch at home.

Every year after (circa 2004-5 and on) the ticket office would reach out to me to see if I wanted to buy tix again. If there was a waiting list back then, why/how could I have gotten tickets? The list was real under Cookes when team was good. Danny-boy ushered in era of sub-mediocrity in the front office, then stadium and on the field.

The waiting list has been a myth for at least a decade now - the closing off of whole sections of upper bowl was the first hint that the jig was up. Surprised (not really) that none of the DC area sports writers could put the pieces together prior to this. It was an open secret.

Snyder has alienated an entire generation of fans with his managerial negligence. The only way to restore the glory is if he goes away.

Amen to that. Couldn't have said it better myself. That piece of shit moron midget has ruined my once beautiful, beloved Washington Redskins.

^^^^^This guy's idea of "adult hobby" is to jack off to 'net porn.
