Get a container of critter ridder and sprinkle it all around. It's about 10 bucks at home depot or amazon.

I don’t know about raccoons, but if it was regular coons, you could entice them out with fried chicken and watermelon, then yell cops, and that would get rid of them.

A pair of work boots on the deck should do the trick.

Man up and just reach in there and pull it out.

Get a trap from Harbor Freight. Bait it with food. After you catch the raccoon, do the humane thing and lower the cage into water. See how long the raccoon can hold its breath. Pull it out, and repeat until the raccoon tells you everything it knows.

Grab your shootin' iron and take care of business...or if you want to get more personal, a 2x4 upside its head should do the trick. As previously stated, all of this is verbotin according to Fairfax County regs since the racoon has more rights to your property than you. They will allow you to hire a 'professional' to relocate the critter for an exorbitant fee.

I've got a vacuum sitting uner my stares.

If you call animal services and they come and get it, then they don't take them out and drop them off in the woods somewhere as some people think. They're killed. Probably the same for private removal.

Animal control will lend you a trap.....once you capture it, take it to a park and release it.

No they won’t. Trap and release is actually against the law. They’re too territorial and rarely survive relocation.

Leave it. They won’t bother you and are very shy animals. I have fox and raccoons on opposite sides of my deck right now and other than seeing the digging (from the fox, raccoons don’t dig but will move into an empty fox hole) and I never see any other evidence other than footprints (acrually, here is a pile of raccoon shit in the tree house). They all help with vermin and bugs. O’possum are even cooler. The sounds fox make mating are terrifying!

This is true but animal control won’t do anything. They don’t recognize it as a “problem” because it’s not. Pest/professionals will put the animal down.

Like the squirrels, deer, and foxes, raccoons are a part of the natural order around here. They aren't out to "get" anybody. They don't want to have anything to do with you. Unless you stupidly leave your garbage out in the open. In that case, you're just lucky that we don't have so many bears around these parts.

Such Animals get into a home in a search of food like rodents, reptiles, mice etc.. These rodents are the biggest threats to the human beings as they can easily attract dangerous pests like Snakes, raccoons, etc., which can even give harm to the human beings. It's always better to call a exterminators NYC and get rid of such unwanted pest issues permanently to avoid the interference of animals like deer, foxes.

Hey, did you escape from the raccoon? I had the same problem and I didn't know how to get rid of him. I took a look at the internet and I searched for the best raccoon removal company and I found one. I called them and after saying the problem, they came to me fast. They made an inspection of the house to notice if there are other dens of raccoons and after they began to remove them. The Guys worked perfectly and in a few hours the raccoons were removed and I don't have problems with them for more than 8 months.

Get help from pest control services immediately.

For anyone experiencing this problem, I recommend drilling a hole in your deck and laying down on it, dangling your penis through the hole. It may sound silly, but believe it or not, raccoons think it is a snake and it scares the hell out of them and makes them run away. The closer to the raccoon you get your penis, the better it works, because they can’t see that well

I actually have a lot of experience since the coons are a constant nuisance, trying to get into my attic by breaking ventilation louvers and pooping on my deck to mark their territory. Here are some suggestions:

1. Get a Havahart trap from Home Depot for about $70 and catch em using peanut butter blobs as bait. They can get ornery in those traps, so you can either shoot them in the cage or you can fill up a trash can with water and drown them. Then wrap them up in a black trash bag and include with your trash pickup. I have killed about 25 coons over the past five years this way. Coons breed disease and are not those lovable furry friends that bleeding hearts lead you to believe. A friend was bitten by one while taking the trash out at night and he had to get those painful rabies shots

2. Buy some Golden Malrin on the internet which is agricultural fly poison. Shape peanut butter into little balls and coat with Golden Malrin and set the dessert out for their culinary delight. Do not set in places where dogs or cats may also roam or you will kill them also. I wiped out a family of coons who were squatting in a storm drain and hassling the neighbors. Also good for killing possums. If you don't want to mess with peanut butter, it also works well in a bowl of grape soda.
