Say whatever you want..do remember to say Super Bowl Champ!
"He was drafted by the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) in the 6th round of the 1986 NFL draft. He is the first Canadian-born quarterback to start in the NFL and win the Super Bowl MVP award, doing so in Super Bowl XXVI."

Can't forget about Danny Wuerffel either, the Heisman winning quarterback Spurrier handpicked to run his prolific passing attack. Always felt a bit bad for Jason Campbell too; he was a tough guy and he took a beating in the pocket for a number of years without any sort of appreciation.

Cousins is the best statistical quarterback to ever play in Washington but, his lack of playoff wins, wins in the clutch and contract troubles will never allow him to be thought of as the best Redskins' qb ever.

What teams do and don't do today as far as offensive schemes differs significantly from what they did 10-20-30-50-75 years ago. The rules have changed significantly so that quarterbacks and receivers are much more protected now than they used to be. Salary caps prevent teams from stocking up on offensive and defensive linemen and backup quarterbacks like they used to.
All this means that you cannot make a good comparison of quarterbacks today v. quarterbacks in the past based on player statistics alone. You need to instead look at what the team has been able to accomplish. By this standard Cousins comes up short. In an era when six teams from each conference make the playoffs each year, how many times have the Redskins made the playoffs with Cousins as QB?

I am sorry but I am having trouble reading my screen through all the coffee I spurted out. Did you say "magical" as in winning the division with a lousy 9-7 record and then losing the first round playoff game against Green Bay by more that two touchdowns was "magical"

Yeah I wouldn’t call that magical when they backed into the playoffs.

San Francisco had Young follow Montana. Green Bay had Rogers follow Farve. Between 1962 and 2000 the Cowboys had three franchise quarterbacks. Other teams are not that lucky. It is possible though with a solid team to go deep into the playoffs, win Super Bowls even, with a decent quarterback who catches fire one season.

You’re asking waaaaaaay too much out of Bruce Allen to put together a quality team that gets us a SB win. They only care Abuja making money.

Every season is magical for my bank account. It helps that Redskins fans are the biggest suckers on the planet. I feed them shit, and they thank me for the privilege of eating it.
