Is it possible to reach "Economy of Passion" beyond "knowledge economy" in an environment of "Democracy" government structure at local level, such as our Fairfax County government and State of Virginia government ?

==============================================================================

I have to admit something: for all of my life, I have tried to make a living following my passion. My experience in the fields of human motivation and civic engagement have shown me I’m not alone, and that there’s an emerging economy of passion. Here I reflect on my experience, and share some of the markers of this new economy.

All democracies are easily fractured. A buffoon and maybe a 1% moron factor among voters is apparently enough to do very serious damage.

I am the buffoon and I'm going to tell you leftist motherfuckers something.

You're no longer going to "brown the country" for the sake of color. You want to import people, you're going to import people with our values, not values like pushing gays off of tall buildings, redistributing income because you believe in equal outcomes and not equal opportunity, and bringing in workers with no attachment whatsoever to this country to drive down wages. That shit will no longer stand. You don't like it, too fucking bad, snowflake.

Fuck your Hope & Change and "Fundamental Transformation". That shit is being stopped dead in it's tracks.

You want solar power or a bullet train in Kalifornia? YOU pay for it. Stay the fuck out of my wallet for all your "dreams".

Abortion to the ninth month on demand and forcing me to pay for it? No fucking way. We're coming to end that shit.

You've gone radical. And we're about to bring reality to the situation. Fuck your climate change, tax payer funded Obamacare and your "nirvana".

So typical. You cannot counter my statement that we live in a Republic, so you resort to childish name calling.

You have suffered an epic fail.

Republicanism is a type of democracy.

but if protected by a Bill of Rights,

may be distinguished from other forms of democracy as a Bill of Rights asserts that each individual has unalienable rights that cannot be voted away by a majority of voters, unless the other type of democracies are also protected by a Bill of Rights

Democracy is mentioned in the Constitution exactly zero times.

----------

U.S. Constitution - Article 4 Section 4

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

-----------

AUTHOR: Benjamin Franklin (1706–90)
QUOTATION: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

ATTRIBUTION: The response is attributed to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.

-----------

Tyranny of the majority (or tyranny of the masses) refers to an inherent weakness of direct democracy and majority rule in which the majority of an electorate can and does place its own interests above, and at the expense of, those in the minority.

Discussion: Ok, ok, it's pretty clear that the founding fathers wanted "republic form of government" first, and not "one citizen one vote" of so called modern democracy.

It's obvious that "republic form" with civil rights and constitution so dismantled by authoritarian Nazi Germany of the 30's, could happen in America, but with new set of risk factors, that could include a "long term stagnation" of America's knowledge economy, when the short term "economic success" is over emphasized, and little investments are made toward "knowledge economy infrastructure" ?

Question: Is this risk same or different than what Ben Franklin was fearful ?
