White Bristow man turns self in for attempted fitting room filming at Fair Oaks

A 50-year-old Bristow man has been arrested for the attempted unlawful filming of a minor in the fitting room of a store in Fair Oaks Mall on January 7. Rudolph Doering turned himself in over the weekend after seeing the photos we released of him on our social media pages last week.
An investigation revealed that a 13-year-old girl shopping at Hollister Co. was changing in the fitting room when she saw a cell phone which appeared to be recording her from the stall beside hers. On January 12, we released images to the public of a person of interest in the case. Doering saw the media release of himself and responded to the Sully District Station on January 14 where he met with detectives. A warrant was obtained this afternoon charging him with one count of attempted unlawful filming of a minor. He turned himself in at the Adult Detention Center shortly after.
We appreciate the cooperation of Hollister Co. employees throughout the investigation, and we thank everyone who helped us share the images captured by surveillance cameras at the mall to solve this case.

This man, Sterling resident William Robert Moreno, 36, has been observed lurking around young boys and girls fitting rooms. He is known to have sexual fantasies about infants and children, has been caught in the act of stalking a young woman, and has a criminal record including felony assault. He is currently at large although is roommate and accomplice was recently sent to federal prison.
