Infact, no rain or snow predicted farther out, and after temperatures slowly climb onto January: rain ice mix. (a precipitous winter in general, but not during our cold periods)

That’s true at temperatures around -10 degrees F. It’s not predicted to get that cold here, so your comment is irrelevant. Admit it, you went to correspondence school.
