Isn't he still in the hospital under police guard? Not much point in arresting the guy when they cannot proceed with criminal process and the guy isn't going anywhere.

For some people, it's less about technique and more about getting the right tool for the job. I didn't know anything about guns when I wanted to kill myself. I thought a gun was a gun.

So, I grabbed a .22 and pointed it at my head and pulled the trigger. The bullet deflected off my skull and rode around the top of my head. All I managed to do was badly injure muself...

Yeah, 22 does not guarantee the job. Don't forget the hollow point..just one should suffice.
