Bought the kids guitars and set up yesterday. Daughter gets an electric and son wanted a new steel string acoustic. They were pretty friendly at the GuitarCenter off Lee and 50. Go before lunch if you want to hear yourself play. I brought them on a weekend night and it was way too loud and busy to feel comfortable trying out guitars.
Yesterday went in around 1130 and there were only a handful of customers there. Played for 1/2 hour to verify the guitars I wanted for them then slapped down a grand for 2 great starter setups. Im excited Ill have 2 players to jam with! Its great to have a big guitar store to pick out guitars.
I always enjoy going in and playing "Stairway" to see how long I can play before they shut me down. My world record which has stood for 19 years...is 36 seconds.

People that go there can play! Its too bad they let some people crank it up because with one or two electrics playing at once its just too noisy. But many can play. Go during a weekday if you want to hear.

if you attached the neck right, those are the best - they have the widest range of sounds they can crank out
haven't been able to afford one in years
really though - i think the internet is a bigger craze than music. i wouldn't go too far down the road unless you think you have a future natural talent musician on your hands
