RESTON, VA -- Drunk drivers, beware: Fairfax County Police officers will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in the Reston District Station tonight.
Police are not revealing where the checkpoint will take place, or what time exactly it is scheduled for.
The legal blood-alcohol content (BAC) limit in Virginia is 0.08 percent. For a first driving under the influence (DUI) offense, the penalty is an administrative license suspension for seven days, a minimum $250 fine (max $300), license revocation for one year, and other possible penalties. A second offense could carry jail time.
