Totally agree.
I stated at MB with my family many years ago on the same side that Paddock stayed with the view over the concert venue, the "strip" and airport.
We parked in the rear parking deck and had to schlep all our crap from from the parking lot via elevator, past all the restaurants and thorough the casino to the lobby elevators that were really out of sight of the lobby as I recall.
While these facilities have a lot of cameras, you have to realize that the cameras are not always monitored in real time. The focus is more on the $$$$ in the casino than the guest traffic from the parking deck. Given the amount of time between trips due and the volume of people milling about because of the the sheer size of these facilities, security would really need to be focused on remembering what someone looks like for 20-60 minutes at a time.
Paddock was 64, he would not have dropped a bag then immediately returned to his car. He would have chilled out and rested between trips.
Think of all the Porn movies shot in motel rooms, lights, camera and sound equipment, props, porn actors/actresses, support people. Then the noisy female putting on the drama. This rarely gets a 2nd look.
What I want to know is did Paddock give Housekeeping some cash to give him "privacy"? I would guess he found someone and gave them $100 or so to give him privacy during his stay. This probably made the rounds of the Housekeepers and they will not be fessing up they took cash to stay away from Paddocks room. Even leaving a Do Not Disturb sign on the room should raise some suspicion.
My understand in Paddock did order Room Service probably a few times. I had people ask me why Room Service did not detect anything unusual. Well Paddock had a 2 room suite so he had all of his weapons and so forth in the rooms behind closed doors so that Room Service did not see anything out of the ordinary. This is also where Paddock got the Room Service cart he had cameras mounted on. Assume they must have been wireless cameras so that in case the cart was picked up by staff they would not have seen wires and may not have figured out who had installed the cameras for a while.
Paddock had a sick plan for some reason, was a reasonably smart guy to get everything set up as he expected. I am not convinced this guy did not follow in his fathers footsteps as a career criminal that appeared to live a "normal" life. This is why he may have had so many weapons and maybe he was close to being caught so he thought he would go out in a blaze of glory and then if he was able to get out of Vegas, to move to the Philippines or somewhere else and take on an new identity.
Who knows what his sick motive was and why, only he knew why he wanted to kill and injury so many innocent people. This guy was not playing with a full deck or living in reality.
Such a sad state of affairs for all the injured and survivors of the deceased.
