A tidy sum, Mr. Bigglesworth...

So, I (should) have a tidy sum of money coming my way within the next several months, due to a lawsuit I have pending against the CSI trucking company--long story short, the truck failed to yield right of way, I hit it head-on, driver pled guilty. I've got a small fortune in medical bills and several rods and screws in both legs to show for it. So, anyone here have any insights into this type of situation? How much (ballpark) I should expect, how long it takes to actually see any money, etc.?

My next question has to do with real estate: if this company ends up paying out big, about how much money would a person expect to spend paying for a small place to live, outright? Say in the Herndon area, perhaps. Or anywhere.

There are great bargains in the housing market here. Get a good agent and tell them you want a foreclosure that is sound but needs a little tlc. You could get a nice 3 bedroom for 400k put 50k into it and you got a very nice place to live for the rest of your life.

Better get a financial consultant to talk to you about tax write-offs and investment or you will burn through your tidy sum in 3 years...

That's only if the company settled out of court and included it in the settlement. If the case went to trial and verdict, he can say anything he wants because the case is public record.

Any truth to this? Can CSI sue William Moreno?

Wait a year before buying. There will be a mass exodus out of NOVA due to all the changes President Trump will be making. Hiring freeze. Reduction In Force.

Real estate will correct itself from its current hyperinflated crap fest.

Buy low. Sell high.
