A new study is revealing even more unsettling news for kids who play tackle football at a young age. According to researchers at Boston University, playing the sport before the age of 12 can lead to future brain disorders later in life.

if your skull is in motion and suddenly stops, your brain takes a sec to catchup.
That is, it keeps going until it's stopped by hitting the inside of the skull then rebounding to hit the opposite side. Lather, rinse, repeat until all energy is expelled and the bouncy-ball that is your grey matter comes to rest.
Football (American) and rugby are obvious areas of concern but what's interesting is, no one's raised a fuss about all those little kids getting kicked in the head nearly everyday of the week out in the land of soccer-moms. Concussions are a semi-unintentional side affect of the playing football, and like sports, but in karate- that's kinda of the point. Or, I am completely not understanding the physics of intentional kicks to the head?
