Capsule hotels are very popular in Japan. Would a capsule hotel make it in Fairfax county? Would you consider staying in one?

We are thinking of renovating a old 1960s motel into a capsule hotel. The fire and life safety codes in the US are proving to make this a difficult task but we may be able to pull it off. The big question is will people be willing to stay there?

If it is near an airport or downtown of a really high priced city.

If it is in Dumfries etc, NO.

To answer the basic premise of your question- yes.

What you want to think about is:

-will it be by the hour/day/week? People will try to live in one literally, especially the homeless. You want to price it cheaper than a hotel in the long rn, but for short term you dont want to price it too high as people will opt for a hotel with more room instead.

-how will you collect payment? front desk? have only an app? How will people check in if they want to stay from 2am- 10am for example?

- security for those guests refusing to leave when their time is up? How will you get them out such a small space? knockout Gas in the vents then drag them out? LOL What about those who try to party and cram 5 people in a space meant for one or two people?

- a hotel has people having sex/shooting up their drugs in it daily. You ready to clean up after that/have and pay high wages for staff with bio-hazard training? What happens when someone dies in one? Do you have enough liability insurance?

- parkning? what about their cars? shuttle to metro? Security in the lot to watch over cars and discourage random hookers from just standing outside and luring in men to pay for a few hours with them...

- food delivery? How are you gonna handle that when one person wants to microwave fish?

-how will you ever be better than the best hotel in the whole of Fairfax County, the Wienna WolfTrap inn? Why should I come to your cube instead of there?

Not a sermon, just some thoughts to point you in the right direction. Not saying it won't happen, it just may be a tad more difficult than you thought.

Damn I need to hurry up and finish my license so i can legally practice and charge hourly for this level of thinking LOL ok back to my real job.

I have stayed at two of them in Tokyo. They were not bad and they have some luxury ones that you can stand up inside them. You can pay an extra fee for a private bathroom that you rent for one hour. Bathrooms like you would encounter at a campground are available at all times for no extra cost. The cost would need to be less than 30 dollars a night and would probably work near an airport.

the image advertises pedophelia, which is "legal" in Japan; a young white male near a minor

Japanese anime is full of inuendo that brothers and sisters should fuck and that older men should be fucking minors.

THE ISSUE IS IT'S ILLEGAL IN THE USA

talk to your congressman if you think you should be able to use your gov job you got a green card for in exchange for voting democrat and being corrupt should be able to buy you sex with girls 1/2 your age

Looks cute, but I think capsule hotels won't be comfortable for people with non-Asian parametres. Anyways, reading reviews like vida vacations can prevent from many problems.

Stayed at one of these "Hotels" and it was smelly and disgusting as the walls were splattered with dried sperm.
