Armed Robbery Near Madison High School

From the Oakton Patch: an armed robbery on Thursday 20 July, 2500 block of Glengyle Drive, just to the southwest of Madison High School:

Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Oakton: Police
OAKTON, VA—Two gun-wielding men robbed a man in Oakton Thursday morning, according to Fairfax County Police. The incident happened at the 2500 block of Glengyle Drive just outside the Town of Vienna.

Just before 7 a.m., the two unknown men approached the victim and demanded property. One of the men threatened the victim with a gun when he refused. The victim handed over the undisclosed items, and the two young men fled.

The suspects were described as black, thin,with one being 17 to 18 years old, and the other 19 or 20. The younger man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the older man wore a green and black hooded sweatshirt.

This is terrible. 6a? Where were the police? Anyone looking for trouble at 6am should have been obvious. Damn The police should be patrolling the Metro stops for this kind of thing and treating the culprits harsh to put a stop to this shit.

Yea, like WTF "undisclosed items" did the "victim" hand over? Maybe he was the first thief. Was the victim black too?

Race really needs to be included in all reports. If race is asked in every other forum in life from job application to loan applications to rental applications, it should be freely used in every discussion, police report, etc.

The undisclosed items stand out, as does the absence of a means of fleeing the area. It just seems curious that two muggers, regardless of race, would be in that area before 7 a.m. carrying a weapon and wearing hoodies. No one could blend in right now, if they wore a hoodie. Add the fact that the neighborhood leans toward the pale side of the scale, and the lack of camo begins to seem significant. Anyone aware of any other, similar crimes in the area?

About a month ago a guy tried to steal a purse from a woman walking on Chain Bridge but she fought him off. Assuming he ran to the metro and got away. There's more activity around morning rush hour than you'd think but I bet we never hear about half of it.
