As President, George Washington ordered the "total destruction and devastation" of the Iroquois tribe. This order led to the razing of 40 villages and crushed what had been the most powerful tribe at the time.
The Post should immediately cease honoring this genocidal leader.

If you are going to troll, at least make an effort.
Washington wasn't president when he ordered the destruction of the Iroquois towns. He was commander of the U.S. forces fighting the British and their allies...including several Iroquois nations that were killing settlers and burning homes and villages on the frontier in NY and PA.
