Hi All,

Our own Bill Vaughn of the Collingwood Display (#14) is being featured in a TLC film shoot of his display this Wednesday.
The official(?) Light Up will be at 7pm.

Others from the Tacky Christmas Lights list will be there earlier to tailgate and socialize.
Let's make it a "Lights" gathering and bring all your friends.
Dress in your Christmas apparel.
Meet your fellow Christmas Lights enthusiasts from the list.

He needs a crowd resembling the normal Dec. 1 Light up.
Come be part of the filming.

Hope to see you there,
Tacky Holly

.....christmas lights in fucking october?

If it's for tv i can understand why it needs to be filmed before the actual season, but still-how retarded that house must look next to all the houses with styrofoam headstones and pumpkins on peoples front steps.

It is for the filming.

However some of these crazy extreme displays take a month to setup. These people are a little fanatical about Christmas lights. I drove by one display and swear the car was warmer from all the heat of the lights.

I have to admit I really enjoy all the crazy displays. My favorite is or maybe was two neighbors who do their displays for charity in Annandale. You can park and walk around the yard for a small donation. I've never seen so many lights.

Well then it looks like I'll have to keep an eye out if it airs on tv, sounds like it's actually pretty interesting.

Leaves are still on the trees, it's going to look odd.

This guy really goes all out with the lights, sets them to music etc. I've never been by there after they've gone up that there isn't at least one car parked outside gawking. It's a cool display.
